Yes, an Opthamologist gave me it. I take a cocktail of 4 meds for it and it helps reduce the 'blur' and 'fireflies'. Clonzapam (which also treats my anxiety) is one of them.

From what I've seen, not really. I don't prescribe it, but of the patients that get it from pain management, most of them say it helps with their insomnia more than anything.

i could never figure out why, i ask her if it does anything and she says "i don't know but my doctor told me to take it so i do"

But as with all pain medication, if she's no longer experiencing pain, and the gabapentin isn't noticeably helping her, she may want to talk to her doctor about a taper and discontinuation plan.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm 25, similar problems, similar but larger stack. Spending my saturday night on 4chan doesn't help my case much, but life's pretty good at times. At least, it hasn't gotten worse since I started taking all of those pills.
