Yeah, they're pretty good. Among power metal they're not my absolute favorite, but they are up there. I like my cheesy, fantastical lyrics, like Blind Guardian. I've really only listened to The Art of War though, I'll have to listen to their other albums as well before I really form any opinions.

I listen to all kinds of music, and can spot a good guitarist fairly easily, not trying to brag though. While I do like DragonForce, it's the guy in the video who covered one of their solos that's damn impressive. Seriously, listen to it. I'd like to see you try and play either of the clean solos.

I know who Shawn Lane is, dude. He's very good, I'll admit it. I know this is probably pretty cliche, but I still think Buckethead is one of the best musicians ever (and not just guitarists). Everyone thinks of him as a shredder, and while is, he's got some really nice mellow songs as well. And he's really fucking good at bass, too. And banjo of all things. He'll always be my #1 musician no matter what anyone says to me.

I love Buckethead to death but I recognize that Shawn Lane truly was in a league of his own. Both were / are fantastic multi-instrumentalists and musicians. In my opinion Shawn had better composition, feel, and speed.
