There was a lot less spam, less trap threads, and less spiderman threads. It scrolled slower so people could actuall have discussions in a thread. There were more leaks/ epic gets, roll threads, and stuff you weren't supposed to see.

I have enjoyed my time on this website thus far, and consider myself an oldfag now after 3 long days of occasionally refreshing the page. I would ask that the admin team update the websites outdated design and ban users who feel that can insult other users with nasty phrases, such as 'faggot' and 'retard'. As a retarded faggot, such liberal use of words that carry large implications is highly offensive, and triggers me badly.

Honestly before the whole cuck meme blew up, it was already horrible, but that just made it so much worse
back then /b/ was a cesspool of innovation and lulz.
The board revolved around making fun of each other, creating funny inside jokes and sticking a middle finger up to the ones who didn't get the jokes/humor or weren't in our little culture we created. You had to browse (lurk) the board for a while to learn these subtle "memes" and figure out the place. IE there were infographics that would kill you if you didnt know any better, and some inside jokes/memes had some deep explanation to them. You'd see threads where some random dude knocked a card stand down for lulz on the nyc world cam with live updates in the thread. You would see raids on other websites/games which were for fun and messing with people. Ghost radio pranks were funny as shit. It was more than just rigging poll results. The rage comics were actually hilarious and pretty on edge with the humor at times. We made the "rage" faces and from there it was still pretty good. Then mainstream internet came along, these inside jokes filtered into the masses and we lost our identity. Sure there have been other things since then but it really doesnt surmount to the culture /b/ used to have when you literally couldnt understand a thread just because it felt like people were speaking in another language due to all of the memes/inside jokes.
It pains me that meme has become such a cancerous word.
