Switching gives you a 67% chance of winning.

Consider it like 2 groups:
Group 1: Initial choice door
Group 2: other two doors

Before door is opened, group 2 has 67% chance of containing winning door. Group 1 has 33 % chance.

One door in group 2 opens, revealing goat. Group 2 still has a 67% chance of winning, but now it is just down to the single door. Initial door still only has 33% chance of winning. Therefore, switching to the single door in Group 2 increases odds.

switching doesnt do shit.

consider it like 3 separate doors:
each of them has 33% chance to contain a car

before door is open, each door has same chance of containing car
once the door is open, that cancels third doors chances leaving a 50/50 chance of the car being behind either of the remaining door.

so you must be 10 or 50

if it was 50, 30 could narrow his down to 30 or 70, 20 could narrow his down to 20 or 80.

if it was 10, 30 could narrow his down to 30 or 10, and 20 could narrow his down to 20 or 40

since the question says everyone has a UNIQUE number, if you actually had 10, 30 would be able to see that he had 30 and not 10, so you must have

50!!!

There are five false statements here. The brain teaser isn't fun, so that's the fifth false statement.
>>
Three people check into a hotel room. The clerk says the bill is $30, so each guest pays $10. Later the clerk realizes the bill should only be $25. To rectify this, he gives the bellhop $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room, the bellhop realizes that he cannot divide the money equally. As the guests didn't know the total of the revised bill, the bellhop decides to just give each guest $1 and keep $2 as a tip for himself. Each guest got $1 back: so now each guest only paid $9; bringing the total paid to $27. The bellhop has $2. And $27 + $2 = $29 so, if the guests originally handed over $30, what happened to the remaining $1?

I guess it's open to interpretation depending on how you think the houses are built.

If you say five people build five houses in five days, then all five build one house per day.

So then 20 times the people would take 20 days to build 100 homes.

the "math" on this one is just to throw in some confusion as it's irrelevant. What you have to realize is that this is not a sum of the money that the three people paid originally, as that would need to include the money the clerk has
>>
>>684904117
$30 - $5 = $25 total bill
Each guest pays one third of this, or about $8.33
Add $1 to each and each guest pays $9.33
Multiply by each guest to obtain $28
Add bellhop tip of $2

Mario, Luigi, and Wario go to a hotel. The clerk tells the trio that the hotel room costs 30 coins. They decide to split the cost, so each of them pony up 10 coins.

After toad escorts them to their room, the clerk realizes the price has been lowered to 25 coins. He sends toad up stairs with 5 coins. Toad knows they split the cost, and realizes he can't split 5 into 3, so he pockets 2, and gives each man back 1 coin.

So the trio now spent 9 each, 27 total. Toad kept 2, making the total cost 29.

What happened to the last coin?

Ask one of them how many of the others are togglers. If they say 4 then they're either the truth teller or a toggler who just lied to you, either way their next answer will be truthful so ask them who the truth teller is. If they say 3 then they must be a toggler and their next answer will be a lie so ask them which of the others is least likely to tell the truth and they'll point you to the truth teller.

Thursday. Since we know that there are no days on which both animals lie, it is obvious then that one animal is telling the truth and one animal is lying, indicating that the parity of their answers was different the day before. So you simply find a set of two consecutive days where they switch positions and pick the latter one and that is your answer ie Thursday.

I assume you mean a 3-way intersection as 4-way can be perfectly perpendicular as well
the law (in the US) says that even in a 3-way the first car to the intersection has right of way and when multiple cars arrive at the same time, the car on the right has the right of way
a yield sign makes it so the intersecting road doesn't have traffic pulling in front of cars on the through-way

Probably because the anon is right?

After you use the scale once, its one of two options:

3 pills to weigh or 2 pills to weigh.

With the 3 pills, weigh 2 of the three.
If the ones on the scale are even, then by process of elimination, the last pill is the poison.

If one of the pills is heavier, then its obviously the poison one.

As for the 2 pills to weigh, it should be obvious.

ask any of them: 'If I ask the guy next to you who the thruthteller is, who would he point out?' If he is a toggler he would point at another toggler = lying. Ask same q again, this time he has to be true. If he is the thruthteller he would point at himself both times. Correct?

Either my hat or Barry's must be black or Albert would know that his hat is black as Barry and I wearing white hats would leave only black hats for Albert.
If Barry saw a white hat, then he would know that his hat is black because.
Therefore my hat is a nigger because it is black and in prison.

seperate them into piles of 3, 3, and 2.
weigh the two piles of three against each other.
>they will either weigh the same, meaning you can weigh the pile of 2 and figure it out, or you end up with a heavier pile of 3
take each of the three pills from the heavier group and weigh two of them against each other.
>you will have either two equal pills, meaning the one you didn't weigh is the poison pill, or you find the heavier pill.
Done.
