You really think a 100 years ago all these people on anxiety meds would be having huge anxiety attacks. No they wouldn't they would man the fuck up and overcome them and function 100% normally. You are weak and have a crutch in your meds, so cry some more about how poor little you has anxiety attacks.

I smoke weed.

But seriously you guys crack me up.
Let me give you advice about anxiety.

Anxiety doesn't exist in real life, only in your head. For me, anxiety is when I think of stressful situations I expect in the future based off of my past negative experiences.

Anxiety is a good thing in the short term, it shows you care. That's your body telling you to take action and do something. However chronic anxiety will literally destroy your body from stress from the inside.

I get myself out of anxiety but thinking in the present. Basically focus on your senses and ask yourself what you need to be doing right now and do it.

That's one of the most useful thing to do about anxiety.
Talk to your doctor, maybe he would prescribes you alprazolam or other benzos in case of bad anxiety. Talk to a psychologist if you can (and if your not from a country with private healthcare...it will costa a lot).

I personally do 3 breathing cycles ever morning since the new year ATLEAST 5 days a week right after I stretch when I wake up and it's been an amazing way to start my days.

Each cycle is while sitting Indian style 15 full deep slow breaths then i breathe out all the air in my lungs and hold my breath for as long as I can and tell myself thank you ATLEAST 30 times. Then I fill my lungs as much as I can and hold my breathe for as long as I can and focus on my heart beat. Repeat 2 more times.

At first it was weird just remembering the steps but once I remembered it got so much easier and now it's usually the 2nd cycle where I get that euphoric feeling because medications causes a physical change in your mind from breathing

The effects of weed depend on the application, the strain and other factors.
I think I might have a light social anxiety and when I smoke some weed on the weekends, I am a bit more open for the whole week and can work on this problem.
Weed caused anxiety is a side effect of the actual high, kinda comparable to a "horror trip".
It is just an overreaction.

I'm on the maximum dosage of Fluoxetine myself, but have never had any issue with impotence. It's listed as a possible side effect, maybe you should switch to something else.

Effexor (venlafaxine) which I tried briefly, provided complete impotence, no feeling, not even slight hard-on with a single starting dose. That and I felt rage unlike anything I've ever experienced before, seriously pissed off for no reason, so agitated I couldn't even sleep. Fun times.

Depends, I really like amphetamine (speed) so this is nice because it's clean and all. I don't have a prescription from it but get it from a friend who doesn't need it but gets it.

So I basically use it like speed, to do stuff ultra focused or after MDMA when I go to a rave and things like that. And I like to masturbate (edging) for a day or two straight, while being obsessed with finding the perfect porn. Or I clean my apt for 3 days in a row, and my apt is really small so I am _very_ thorough.

I don't do it often tho since I got psychosis from sleep deprivation when I overdid it. You also using recreationally?

People are stupid. Everyone assumes ADHD=hyperactivity. There are two types: inattentive and hyperactive or mixed. I'm inattentive for example. All that means for me is it's harder to pay attention to stuff and more so to focus on one task for a long period of time; even shit that I use to enjoy. On top of that is just being extremely tired all the time.Of course amphetamines will make almost anyone feel better; regardless of what they lack or don't lack. I take it, i enjoy it because it works so who the fuck cares.

Serious question but I probably wont get a serious answer but here it goes anyways, I am having my tonsils out soon. What medication will I get prescribed and is it worth saving to sell or use later?

Anxiety (when not from a source like a job interview or something) is always a symptom of another problem. Manic depression, PTSD etc.
Seems to me that treating anxiety alone isn't going to help anyone.

On the other hand if you can medicate all the kids, they'll be much more compliant in general.

yep, have managed to finish a lot of unfinished projects since being diagnosed

my favourite part is being properly engaged in a conversation instead of being distracted by all the shit happening around me -- no more trying to guess the song, or read what's written on the back of someone's hand, or tuning in to all the other conversations happening around me

bliss

Same side effects on the effexor, works well for the depression and anxiety but fuck me, no hard-ons and I also get pissed off for no reason. Not as bad as not sleeping though.
>>
Moclobemide for depression. The only side effect so far is feeling great.

high contents of CBD is what people with anxiety want... that's usually why indica calms me down pretty good while a potent sativa strain with much more thc makes me nervous like a mofo on a bad day. also one just should smoke very small amounts of weed, it is better to smoke two or three small portions instead of having one big toke.

but it still happens that i smoke too much and i start freakin out for an hour... i'm already somewhat used to it and know that the everythings gonna be alright after a short while in hell, still sucks when it happens.

AS bro here. I got it bad, nothing helped and i went through all cox 1, 2 and cox2 inhibitors. I started adalimumab (humira) 7 months ago and it s a miracle drug. After the rest barely did anything this was really lifechanging. Good luck.

venlafaxin is one hell of a shitty drug... getting off from it is absolutely ridiculous, i had brainzaps for a few weeks (a feeling like getting an electric shock directly in your head every few minutes). also made me fat in shortest time. i will never take any antidepressants again.

Well that's true. I am more of a sativa hybrid guy. I like to wake n' bake, have sex, exercise, and generally be able to function properly throughout the day, and I can't do that with indica-dominant plants. My plant of choice is NL5xHaze and blue dream if you get my drift.

Btw combustion of plant material is not the best method, have you tried vaporizing or edibles instead? The cannabinoid profile of some strains (a high amount of CBD) is anti-inflammatory and combustion is not effective, the high effect is also different because the smoke is intoxicating as well.

only if the THC is out of proportion with the CBD, which is the case with many strong man made strains.

the strains nature provided us with though have a good balance between THC and CBD. CBD actually reduces the anxiety

AK-47, Strawberry Cough, Verde Electric

As someone who suffers from extreme anxiety and crippling panic attacks, these strains are godsends to me.

While one strain will send me into a temporary downward spiral of negative thoughts, these will take me to a happy place where I can actually get things done willingly without any mental fog present.

I do have ADHD as well, but haven't been able to seek proper medication due to lack of financial resources to do so. I'd much prefer CBT over adderall, but feel as if that would cost even more.

For now, I self-medicate, meditate, and exercise to subside the negative aspects of my mental illnesses. Thankfully living in a medical state that allows me to pick and choose strains that work for me instead of rolling the dice with random dealers.
