I got it on Steam yesterday. I like it so far. Multiplayer is very halo-esque. It's like old halo in some ways, but it has powerups and weapon customization. Generally, I'd say it's fun and well balanced.

It's really fun. I'm playing through singleplayer through ultra-violent and the pace is amazing, aside from looking for secrets afterwards ;_;, but I want to unlock all of the secret levels and such. Multiplayer is pretty fun as well!

Its basically classic Doom but with some modern features like character progression. I'm having blast but I had extremely low expectations.

I respect your opinion, everyone is different, but Doom3 was the least doom-like doom game.
Doom never had much of a story. I mean, yeah there IS one, and I actually enjoy it, but it is not really the focus. The point is to run around fast paced shooting demons with huge guns.
This new Doom is exactly what I'd expect of a modern version of the original Doom, for better or for worse, though I happen to love it.

It's hardly what I would call dubstep
I like the game, multiplayer is kind of eh unless your team is capable of working together (which is almost never), singleplayer is fun but I can tell once I beat it I'll never touch it again. My favorite part is the SnapMap editor + the co-op/TDM maps people make.
The guns are satisfying to use, they feel powerful and the pace of the game is nice.
The DOOM series is definitely better off as an arcade style shooter than it was as a horror game, IMO.
As person who didn't play any of the other Doom games. This game is crazy boring. It's just walk into one room kill enemies walk into another room rinse & repeat.
