Get life experience. There are many ways to project yourself as more of an alpha male. Read books about psychology and body language. That alpha mentality becomes pretty worthless past your thirties. I know it sounds stupid but just changing your physical stance and voice will slowly start to change your role in the pack over years. It is hard to assert yourself over people that have decades more experience than you in things but a lot of times better decision making skills wins that battle.
