it should be a better and faster system, carried out on the spot after conviction if you ask me. the real problem is it takes too fucking long and costs too much to keep these fucks alive for 10 years of appeals.

This a list of prisoners that have been exonerated on death row. How many more didn't get it and died innocent?

not enough.

it doesn't need to be 100% for it to be effective, it just needs to be more effective.

Alright I'm going to kill you because you were wearing a red shirt, and I was mugged by a guy in a red shirt. Who cares if you're totally innocent? These sacrifices must be made for true justice.
>>
>>684174845

It's good

What right do you have at life if you've taken the life of someone else. Only bad thing is these criminals complain about unfair treatment. Just shoot em in the head and save money

The death penalty is pointless. The person that does a crime that would call for execution obviously knows thats the end result. These people shouldn't have a chance to get out of life this easy.

Also a vast majority are either mentally ill/uneducated or criminally insane. We really should hold them under constant surveillance do tons of psychological work with them. We will eventually find a common ground and be able to actually prevent/help someone else before going down that path.

If we just kill them, they get what they wanted. Also it's like putting a bandaid on a bullet hole.

let me guess, you didn't have sex with that little kid and now you have to "wrongly" register?

Anti death penalty

As much as some people deserve it, I think that the state shouldn't condemn murder and then kill people as a form of revenge. It doesn't seem dignified of the state and the people. Also there are mistakes that happen, innocent people are killed sometimes and the method of execution can fuck up and really basically torture someone.

Death is not a penalty. I'll explain.

When you get spanked as a kid, that's a punishment. But if you found some freaky bitch who loves to get spanked, it's obviously not a penalty for her. She likes it. Therefore a penalty is contingent on the experience of the receiver.

Since a dead person cannot experience things, it is impossible for rendering someone dead to be a penalty.

We are not talking about executing people who are already dead.
