but the similarities go beyond merely an adaptation of the source material. Most aspects of the images are identical: the pose, the grimace, the drawing of the sword to name a few. Whilst they share that source material, the actual rendering of those images must have come from some creative thread of an individual, who put in effort to produce the work.
These are two different authors attempts to recreate source material, however, has the older image merely reproduced an existing interpretation of the work or newly interpreted the material to form an original image?
