1998 Honda civic. It got a rust problem and the ABS doesn't work when its cold and I live in Norway so winter was kind if scratchy.
>Get compliments all the time and people seem to think it's fast but it's actually slow as fuck
>Most common response that I get: "DO YOU DRIFT?!"
2001 Honda Civic, which I will drive until the seat falls through.
Don't get me wrong, I love my car.
But it does kind of suck to be slower than nearly everything else on the road. And I fucking swear to God that people driving Honda Odysseys like to make it a point that my car is slower than their van (at least in a straight line), as they always feel it's necessary to perform a fly-by pass. Can't wait to turbo it and hopefully, one day, V8 swap it.
Not my car but identical. e90 330d
I smoke lots of crack
he asked if OP drives without the hood, I pointed out theres no engine which is why theres no hood. youre the fucking socially awkward retard. you obviously have too much confidence in your intelligence when youre actually kinda fucking stupid
I think even the handling is a myth. The wheelbase isn't wide enough. You'd need grippy tires. When small cars start slipping it's hard to control. I always thought Miatas were gay.
Surprisingly V8's aren't that much heavier than the original Jap engines I think it's in the ballpark of 100 lbs heavier and also, it doesn't disturb the weight distribution too much either
Its a nice car overall
(looks the same as in the picture)
This isn't mine, but it is exactly the same as mine. The little v4 turbo engine still surprises me. Great car
Got an '02 Audi A4 TDi wagon with a quarter of a million miles on it and still going strong, and an Audi S3 of the same age in mint condition and only 48k miles on it. Good cheap reliable fun cars.
>>684111094 is right. I'm in the middle of an engine swap. I pulled the stock V6 out of her and I'm running tests on a custom designed WR-14. I have a dual turbocharge system going in it too, so as soon as I finish it you guys will hear about it.
My pickup. I daily it but its more of a drag vehicle. 600 hp on motor and 750 hp on a single plate kit. Weighs 2900#. Doing trans work in this pic. Its all together now tho. Lights and such i mean.
Mine is black. 1.9 cdti ; Planning to sell her in a few months, and buying new volvo v40
Tfw I have the best car in this thread
Nice bike. This is my ride, and just got a '92 ZX-11.
Been looking at this Supra Mk3 for $1.5k, but I don't have the money for it, and by the time I would it'll be long gone. Life ain't fair.
Not at all mah nigga, r8 my interior
2015 BMW F30 328i xDrive
True, but my sister drives a beetle. She likes to fuck around. She's on her 3rd beetle in a year and a half. She blew the Trans on the first, crashed the second, and now she another. She needs insurance lol
Cammed and bolt ons Camaro SS 2010
And just dont tell them. My puckup pictured on the lift above is $12 a month to insure. They dont care whats done to it. I even added 10k in accessories and mod coverage.
Plasti dipped the wheels because I'm a cheap ass, not too bad though. I think it looks nice.
Hahaha queue the jealous faggots, there's 11 grand of customs on that beamer, you guys couldn'teven afford my car, nevermind the easy pussy I get from it. Not bait, you all have disgusting vehicles.
Whenever I see blacked out standard wheels especially on a bmw, I think of a high school kid who's parents bought them the car and they said "but daaad I want the wheels blaaack."
I see cars like yours all the time, always 16 year old boys who think stance is cool, it isn't. Get a real car faggot. My car would smoke you in a straight line and demolish you on a track.
You got that right, but it was mom.. Not dad. I told her that's what I wanted, and that I was going to save up for it.. But I'm impatient, so I stopped by pep boys and bought some plasti dip lol.. My original goal was to make it sort of stealthy.. That's why I got the metallic gray color. At one point, I also had the tail lights tinted.. But I got tired of that.
Don't have a car at the moment, but still had a Caldina GT-T a while back - was a really fun car.
Has 1.2million km on the odometer but it still starts up, runs and handles like a beauty.
Thanks anon, I appreciate it. I was originally going to get a 2015 camaro 2ls, or a 2016 Mustang, but.. I'm 6'1, and I also have a social life.. So the room was going to be an issue lol
Btw, the grill is aftermarket. It's not plasti dipped lol.. I tried to remove as much chrome as I could.
Trans Am 77 V8 Oldsmobile 403ci
There are v4 motors out there, mostly on motorcycles, but they have been used on automobiles. It's not like it is mechanically impossible or anything, just not as beneficial for 4 cylinders as it is for 6 and up.
lol in fact i'm a pig :)
I drive a hard bargain. That's how I managed to get my Peugeot 205 GTI.
It's not bait.
Here's another angle.
You seem to be upset that you can't afford this car.
I mean, it's my first car... The only reason I'm lucky enough to have it is due to the fact that it was a great deal. My mom told my sister and I that for our first cars, she'd spend $10k each. My car is a lease, and the payment is decent.. That's the only reason I have it. $5k down, $298 a month. After my mom pays the first $10k, I'm taking over the payments. Another reason is because my mom only likes to drive nice cars, I don't mean to sound snobby at all.. But she has the money, and she wants nice things for herself.. So why not? It was on her birthday, we went to the dealer.. And she was looking to get a 2016 428i in mineral white, but ended up getting black sapphire... Then she saw my car that I have now, and they said they'd give her a good deal on it. Which they did, so that's the only reason I have it. And the fact that it's a lease, I don't want to put money into it for wheels. I don't think it's worth it.
2009 Yamaha FZ6
I quite like it but a few weeks ago I took a fall going 30 and the left side is in rough shape. Hence why this picture only shows the right side in my garage.
Volvo Amazon for life. Nothing else will do.
Was my favorite childhood movie.
I wanted to work with my father in his garage,
but it was not profitable enough for us two (yuropoor).
So i became a cop for the job stability, the gun and the money.
Later i've got enough monez to buy my
childhood dreamcar. Im really happy with it
but it's slow as fuck.
I've had the M3 since 2011. It was a track car for three years. Never drove it on the road.
My R1 always held me over until I registered the car and began using it as a daily.
Sold the R1 after not touching it much for over a year. The car is THAT much better.
Should have keft it like this. Still rode like shit. Couldnt be happier to sell it
This rare fucking beauty right here.
That's fine. My town was just full of kids with brand new bmws on black spray painted wheels when I was in high school. I just remember thinking, if I had a car that nice I would leave it as the manufacturer intended or spend the money on a nice wheel upgrade. People in the know look at it at think wow, he put $2 in spray paint over beautiful oem bmw wheels. But it's certainly the look you need to pick up 16 year old chick's so again, whatever works for you.
It is, what it is. Nothing special, but it's not some run of the mill car.
What do you guys think of this color? It's 4 layers of black, and 2 of graphite metalizer. It's Plasti Dip by the way.
Anyone in the South wanna have a meet/run? Fort Mtn State Park to Tail of the Dragon TN/NC border??
I'm resigning from work at the end of this month and have a bit of time to do something.
Would love to go with a group.
We could map a route that's strictly rural driving and run all the way through.
I have a VW Scirocco R now. It's meh
Had a 98 saxo VTS ten years ago, greatest car to drive ever, weighed next to nothing, tuned engine, have fucked over porsche 911's, top of the range BM's. Even went toe to toe with a lambo, it beat me, but the little saxo gave a fair shot at it
I have a few cars. A 2001 tdi jetta for fuel milage, a 1984 toyota pickup for pickup things, a 98 dodge neon work car, and a 89 s15 pickup set up for drag racing and street fun. Couldnt be happier. Id rather spend my weekends and nice days on the lake with the jetskis, or in the winter with the snowmobiles than put money into a shitty subaru any more.
I had a 2004 sti, thought the 13 would be just as fun. Was wrong. Had a 2007 pontiac solstice gxp too, more fun than the 13 wrx. Had a ninja zx6r, was fun too. Had a few other fun cars and if the oil economy didnt crash here in america i would have had a charger hellcat after that 13 wrx. But yeah no money for that now sadly
Street legal enduros are the only way to go if you're going to ride a bike. Crusers are gay and rice rockets though better than those limit your off road ability which the the most fun thing about riding.
Nope oilfield trash since i graduated. Paid 660 a month for the car and 242 a month for insurance. Put 60k miles on it in a year and sold it for a loss bigtime. Got horrible mpg too
Paid 34,500 for it used with 4032 miles on it.
Rx-8 owner here, don't bother. Had one since 04, it has 100,000 miles on it and the original engine blew at 40k.
They're slow as fuck but need 93 octane and get 15mpg city and like 20 highway.
why even post on /b if that's your car. If I had a fucking Lamborghini, that last thing I'd be at is home on a computer.
If you can afford the idiotic insurance, and maintenance on that, you can afford to go blow gas and get a couple tickets.
Anyone else not really like huge, squared supercars but LOVE cars that are front engined made by supercar manufacturers?
Gets my dick hard.
Bought it for 34,500 sold it just over a year later for 24 iirc. You be 19 and make 60k your first year out of highschool with no degree then tell me how you waste your cash. I think my down payment was only like 4 or 5k. Financed thru a guaranteed approval thing thru the deakership so the interest was rape too
bored of doing everything you just said tbh..
Yeah, I'm 25 and I think the Corvette is my worst investment. I had a 01 Trans Am, some idiot nigger ran a fucking red light and t-boned me going cross a green.
Insurance paid me more than the worth of the car. Car was worth about 6500, I got 9000 for it. Had money saved up and bought my C5... Should have just got a V6 stang or charger and saved my money. I like my Vette, believe me, but, it's not a daily driver. I've been using it as such, and it really isn't. As much as Vette owners try to make them out to be.
Cars are fun, but you feel every bump, hole, pebble. Parts aren't cheap. There's nothing easy about self maintaining the car. You can't just take the fucking thing to a mechanic, half of them fuck it up because they think it's a normal vehicle.
Yeah... Avoid Vettes.
Yeah my buddies buy and sell their vettes all the time. One got a high milage c6z with a eforce suoercharger on it and didnt even keep it 8 months, now hes got a single turbo c5z. Before the c6 he had a h/c c5z. Idk why he cant keep a car.
My car just has custom flow masters, a different cold air intake, and a paxton super charger. I'm making about 600 rwhp.
I didn't do any of the mods, I bought it as it was. Pretty fucking stupid of me lol.
live and learn though.
85 square body w/bored out bigblock. More fun cannot be had on 4 wheels. NB4 clean your shit. I work on a fucking dirt road. ...no.
2002 crown vic. Best fucking car ever made. V8.
2002 Chevy blazer with new motor. Got raped letting some cuckfag put a motor in it for over 3 grand. Keeping it now till one of us dies...
2000 wtf pos acura mdx my wife drives mostly
Unknown year wheelie popping dune buggy I'm trying to get tagged.
1979 pos omfg fuck u harley. Well over 5 grand in it. Motor and frame are the only 2 things not brand new. Sick af skulls and shit airbrushed into it. Selling if I can get 4 or 5 for it. Might take to car shows. Dunno.
i will when we start a bitches thredd sir
Have you? Ive been there twice on deployment, They have atlantis waterpark, a few gigantic malls one with a nice hockey rink, one with a ski slope, ferrari world and all sorts of other shit.
The germans are the true innovators. Source: introduce dual clutch transmission in 2003. Honda introduces one in the TLX 13 years later. The reason japanese cars are so reliable is they wait for the tech to be proven and build it simply. And Americans well your just full of shit there m8
>1992 ford danger ranger
S U P E R C A B
>4 cyl, RWD, manual, and not a single undentded panel or intact badge on the fucker
>trim falling apart
>no tailgate handle
And i fucking murder shopping carts and animals with this badboy.
>Also runs great :^)
>planning on installing either a brush guard or bullhorns on the front soon. opinions on which i should do /b/?
Plot twist im not even a redneck
agreed about the boring part. its a vicious balance between fucking bitches and fighting suicidal thoughts everyday basically. and dont forget drugs
Does anybody know if BMW has some sort of rust policy? When we bought my car, it was full of rust.. And still is. Even my steering is squeaky, but I don't see rust on the column.. So idk about that. Will reply to this comment with more pics.
Lolol. Good on ya bro. Email [email protected] and I can walk you through about a 500$ ebike conversion on that ride. Approx 28mph on flat ground with my fat ass and lead batts. Well worth the coin and you can always convert it back in an hour or 2.
Its a 6.0 lq9 with ls3 heads, 234/250 .621/.629 cam, single plane intake, fast ez efi 2.0 tbi setup, 1-7/8 lt headers, nos brand single plate kit, th400, 5800 rpm yank billet converter for n/a right now, built ford 8.8 with 4.10' and a full spool, 325/50/15 et streets, gutted with dual kirkeys, 10 point cage, thats about it besides like engine internals for longevity.
Americans went to the moon, built the internet, designed the best smart phones, routinely send satellites into space, we are on the cutting edge of every technology since world war II etc, etc. We even win culturally, we export Hollywood to every country but North Korea.
Right on. Czech out craigslist for good deals if u want. Keep stocks for return. If don't mind, wtf your mom do for a living. I aspire to attain great wealth and any info I find helps me. Although I'm currently poorfag...
If this car cost like 16-18k I would say fun car and good gas milage. Nice car.
But these things are like 30k! Wft. If you like small cars, you could get a nice lightly used bmw 135 for that money.
You should visit Michigan bro. you wont have those issues here.
My mom has done nails her whole life, but she recently got into home hospice care or some shit.. She basically goes to a hospital, represents the company she works for, then they send patients to the company.. And she gets commission per patient. Oh, and she's good at managing her money lol.. She bought her first house at 24 and raised my sister and I on her own. She came from a poor family, and did it all on her own.
Have you heard of automated cars? Google, Apple, Microsoft, Uber?
Also you used the marketing term "German Engineering," which Germans apply to everything.
Also here's a lit of Nobel Prizes, American 353, Germany 105: http://www.worldatlas.com/articles/top-30-countries-with-nobel-prize-winners.html
Anyways Germany seems like an ok country, I just like mine more :)
Then take it to the dealer and see if it's covered under warranty. I didn't know it was new. Still you can't expect evert single iron part to be coated to prevent rust. Especially if you live near the ocean or in a high humidity environment. Cars that sit outside on the lot for a long time would definitely get a little surface rust.
i drive these.
challenger is mine, charger belongs to the wife.
I wish I had a 335, have you compared the 335 vs 328? Isn't it mainly just the engine? Because if so, we basically have the same shit.. Yours is just more powerful... But I wish I had the dual tailpipes like you
Oilfield trash. My nigga. Grew up on a drilling rig. Did my time pulling wells my dad drilled when he was my age. Nostalgic but fuck oil. Nigger work for nigger pay. I sit in a loader and fuckoff all day. Make bank. Where abouts u from? Kansas fag checking in
I want to change the wheels soon. Turned it matte red 3 weeks ago.
North dakota here. Got out of the oil right before the crash, was pumping wells for 1100 a day in the end. Long hours and since it was my own business i had all the risk. Now i work in agriculture and make 50k a year. The wife makes 28 ish so combined were still alright. Did the drilling rig thing. Loved it but hated being away from home for so long.
Was good while it lasted. Cool to see someone else here who understands oil trash dont need mommy and daddies money!
My twin turbo dd.
Also own a 97 mustang gt
I haven't compared them before as far as features. I grew up around American muscle cars, so I just wanted the most power I could afford in a bmw. My boss had a 5 series twin turbo v8 that I loved, but out of my price range. I believe mine has the sport performance package, but not the M package.
ANON what u do for a living. Please lawd tell me you are an investor and looking to teach a willing anon. I'll remember you when I'm at the top. Not fucking around. I got a 12 foot stack of personal finance books. 700 credit score and climbing. Bad debt free in a year or less. I know a handful of millionaires always looking for partners. I don't talk at them much because I'm waiting until they come to me. And I'm poorfag still... fml
Lol, why the fuck not. Aside from the fact that oil is probably litteraly cheaper than lube there. Lucky mutherfuckers. Worked all my life and still can't afford to drill 1 single fucking well.
335 and 328 are two completely different cars, when it comes to performance.. other than that, no real difference.
Made my old 335 have 600hp 700 tq.. rather easily too
Depends on the V8 you're putting into it. An LS1 for example is fine (and probably what I'll end up going with); handling isn't effected much by it. Miatas have iron block engines; LS1 is aluminum. IIRC an LS1 adds something like 200 lbs over the stock engine but you're also getting three times the power. The added weight might sound bad but the weight of the transmission and differential that go with it help balance it out, too, overall adding something like 600 lbs total to the car. Sure it may be just a little more front heavy, but it'll also be a lot easier to induce oversteer with all the extra torque. There's plenty of videos out there showing that they still do well in corners. I've got a couple friends with LS1 swapped Miatas and I've seen how they handle. But yeah, here's a few examples:
>I always thought Miatas were gay.
I can confirm, I've become an absolute madman since owning the gayest car on the road.
ayy lmao nigger. you got a post 2009 one i see. this was my favorite back then. sold now.
If it had the M sport package, you'd have the whole different body kit... And the steering wheel. I grew up around mainly American Cars, and my mom decided to go European.. And she got a 2012 Mercedes e350, then a 2013 bmw 528i, and now she has the most advanced car she's had.. A 2016 BMW 428i gran coupe with like every package that BMW makes for the car lol.. I threaten to steal her wheels all the time lmao.. But, I don't really like the M sport wheel. The grip is too bulky.
