I've heard Java developers start out making anywhere from 40k - 65k a year. Is this true? I'd be a junior developer.

I have 3 college degrees (BS Psych / BA Phil / AA Crim) and went almost nowhere with it. Fortunately I did it all in one go - so it was only the cost of one degree (I overloaded on credits and graduated high school early). Immaturity and lack of life experience on my part expected a living wage when I graduated! Now I work an entry level job (although I do tutoring on the side).

That's the point of the boot camp. They take you and show you how to code.
I've done some things and have a portfolio, but mostly I'm waiting to see what they have for me there.
They've got like a 98% job placement rate, and they work on making sure you have a strong portfolio.
