I feel kinda bad now. I didn't want to help because I'm fucking burnt out and tired of death. I can deal with it at work because I put up a mental wall. I was afraid to see how bad they were hurt.

The 2nd time was to give my statement "as a professional" after I witnessed a vehicle combust into flames in a way I haven't seen before, while watching a family of 3 burn to death -- and a young family, ages 24,22, and 3 months -- while the two adults screamed for help.

As someone with depression from burnout I recommend going to a psychologist. Like go there once a month so you can have someone to vent, feel better and have a monitor on how you're doing. It's cheap when you compare it to potential years of being depressed, not able to do work properly and potential that the medications won't work.
The best treatment is to prevent it from happening. (Just so scare you, my friend had a schizophrenic burnout. So depend on your genetics what you'll get and how fast. Maybe you're strong enough and can go through with it without problems. But better safe than sorry.

I used to do home caring and did 12 hour shifts sometimes (i know its nowhere near what EMT/Paramedics do but anyway. Alsobalot of them had terminal diseases). Basically when i was at the persons house id do my job properly but as soon as i left and the door closed behind me then they wernt my problem anymore and i didnt care what happened to them aslong as i did my job properly and gave the right amount of a caring personality after which could relax knowing tht anything that happened from then on util i next workes was the next carers problem. Had to take a month off and get my head back on straight after 3 in a row.

Completely wrong. Say OP decided to stop and help, and for whatever reason he gets taken to court by the victim. He doesn't have the protection of the Good Samaritan law because he's a trained professional, and his insurance won't cover his defense because he was off the clock. He'd be up shit creek at that point, and would likely lose his job, which would prevent him from continuing to help others as a paramedic (not to mention the other ways it would fuck up his life). It's just not worth the risk.
