Where do you work?
How much do you make?
What do you hate about your job?
95k/year base, 20k first year sign-on bonus, 14k second year sign-on bonus, 80 shares of stock per year (approx. 50k, takes 2 years to vest)
I hate how much time I have to constantly invest in new tools/tech to keep up
I also hate how brilliant all my teammates are because it makes it hard to feel special
>i work for my parents and live with them. What i hate about my job is that its too trivial for me because i have been doing it since i was 12. Need to find a new job and new home. Daily thoughts of suicide.
I am one of about 2 dozen people in the world who are professional kite fliers.
>Actually moving lumber isn't that bad
It's helping out dickweed contractor's and their idiotic underlings pick through hundreds of pieces of wood that makes me want to kill myself. Nice part time job while I'm going to school and keeps me active.
>clinical research company
>I hate how the sponsors we work for treat hospitals, patients, and upcoming drug trials. It's all shit and I get to see the bullshit that goes on behind the scenes on conference calls with the people pushing the money and my company that is doing the research. I don't feel like I'm helpingthe sick, I feel like I'm helping the board of directors get rich. But this is the best job I've had with what little experience I had coming into it
City of [REDACTED] Public Library, Downtown Branch.
The shit, sometimes literally, you people leave in books and having to deal with the homeless assholes and degenerate fuckwits who come in and jack off, usually before the staff notices and then we have to clean up the spunk. Gloves, masks, industrial cleaners etc...
A 3 letter agency doing software engineering
(1st year)84k + bonuses
It bothers me that my peers can't keep up and my mentors are barely ahead of the curve.
at least some people in this thread are relatable usually its rich fucks making 20/hr whining about nothing
>Kmart, do a bit of everything
>12-18 hrs a week if im lucky
>shitty schedules, manager doesnt give a fuck about anybody else, im stuck throwing out expired food and wiping mold off the fridge so we dont get sued.
im quitting soon but god damn ive never hated a job more
I'm a manager at a pizza place franchise
$11.00/hour, plus tips (averages between $15-25 per night, which adds $2-$3 per hour)
>What do you hate
I enjoy the job for the most part. The worst thing about it is having to deal with the other employees. We have about 15 people employed and most people are pretty good at what they do, but the few that suck make the job shittier for everyone, especially the managers.
I really started noticing how much it sucked having bad employees when I became a manager. There's one guy who constantly screws things up and disrupts the flow and I think he does it to spite me, I think because he thinks I take the job too seriously and it's obvious he doesn't take it seriously at all. He's the kind of guy who clocks on and then goes to the bathroom for 10 minutes, then when I tell him to clock off he goes to the back and gathers his things for 10 minutes before he wanders over to the timeclock. I don't work every day and sometimes I come in and notice that when I wasn't around he did things that I constantly tell him not to do, but does it when I'm around.
Other than that I thoroughly enjoy working in a restaurant-esque environment, especially being a manager. It makes me feel awesome when a crazy rush happens and everything goes smoothly, I'm able to remain calm and collected which helps everyone else out; something that the other 3 managers struggle with.
I'm on my way to starting a career with the government but I'll be sad when I leave this pizza job.
Where do you work?
How much do you make?
What do you hate about your job?
I get nazi thoughts about how half of these people are just a waste of space that should be euthanized.
Find an understaffed place.
I got hired, expecting 15-20 hours a week (I was in college, that's what I needed)
Now I've temporarily dropped out, because I've been working about 35 hours on average a week, PT
It's a position in the FAA. I went to school for it and have a degree in the field. Due to fucked up bureaucracy 11 days after I graduated they changed the minimum requirements for the job to needing work experience of any kind, so I started the pizza job and last march I had just enough credit to apply, and I got accepted. Just waiting on some stuff before I'm officially hired.
IPPBX Install Tech
45k per year + Overtime
IT guys never want to take responsibility for their networks conflicting with my phone systems. Annoying logical arguments all the time.
>you fucking customers that think you know what the problem is.
Seriously, stop thinking you're smarter than the guy who installs and fixes this shit every...fucking...day.
And put your goddamn dogs up when we come out.
Probably how long the days are.
The money is great and I get a lot of overtime, but I have very little time to myself and barely get days off unless it's raining pretty bad out. But my boss and coworkers are cool as hell, we smoke and drink while we're working sometimes, and the boss takes us out for lunch/dinner all of the time.
Not a bad gig, but I really wish I had more time to go fishing and go see friends and family
>Construction as a labour
>about 22 an hour
>I hate this job because I'd much rather have my programming job right now instead of trying to pay for my classes, I'm also autismism.
i use to work in a food place, there were no lockers for the employees to store their stuff, so sometimes girls change their shoes so they dont get dirty and leave their shoes in the bathroom, so i take theme and smell theme, one girl leave her sandals and the smell so good... was the only good think of that shitty job.
>golf course maintenance worker
>$8 an hour
>fucking drunk, horny 65 year old grandpa's who crash the god damn carts and tear up my god damn greens that I water every god damn day god damn it
Other than that i like being outside all day and my bosses are cool as shit and like to hot box the maintenance barn after hours
I own my own business
Work in lower interest rates and helping people consolidate debt.
I make roughly 100k
People that act like hard-asses when it comes to payment can fuck off.
125K / year
My boss is an actual nigger
>Assisted living Home
>$10.75 an hour. Used to make $12.37 an hour in LTC but it's more stressful
>How needy some people can be. I understand but when I'm busy and they don't care it gets annoying. And when other shifts fuck simple shit up for my shift and make me work harder for 0 reason except that they're autistic.
Can't wait to graduate college with an engineering degree.
To be fair I have around 6 residents who are practically vegetables and would probably find solitude in the sweet release of death but that's inhumane so we gotta keep them alive till they die of natural causes.
Even if they spend their entire days pissing, shitting and regurgitating food all over themselves.
An ISP's internal advice line
I don't have to do any work, I can play video games on my laptop all day, and the calls I take are from reps asking extremely simple shit they should already know about troubleshooting a customers internet. It's less than ten minutes from home. The pay sucks but my gf makes 100k+ a year unclaimed and my job is for getting approved for loans.
The pay sucks, it can get annoying working 40/hrs or more a week (not used to it since I was self employed) and irritating explaining the same things over and over to a person working tech support who shouldn't be there and can't even use a computer.
The never ending tidal wave of niggers that look down on you while they hand you an EBT card
But apparently I have a radio voice according to a lot of people
Somewhere above minimum wage (7.25 USD)
No one likes the idea of working, but when I'm there, everyone keeps each other's spirits up and the demanding amount of labor in a short amount of time is good for my anxiety. Keeps me productive. I suppose if I hate anything, it's the overdrive of work where people flood the restaurant and there's no physical way we can meet the impatience of customers. And the customers don't understand why they have to wait so long when everyone working is doing their best. Still better than working for AT&T business care.
sysadmin at hookup website
super hot women on a hookup site that are way out of my league and no way in hell ill ever get to fuck messaging me with website questions and being super nice.
>did meet my girl friend there tho
Customer service agent for an airline
The people I work for, the people I work with, and the management. I fucking love the airline I work for, but all of my coworkers are shit. They're all fucking snakes who you can't fucking trust and people won't remember the good things you do, only the times you fucked up.
Also my social life is shit. It didn't help my already failing past relationship. Fells bad man. I wish this job didn't change my whole fucking life the way it has.
IT Tech by day
Love my job, Clients pretty cool
Pay is MEH
>>Under paid for my skill set, leaving in a few months and opening up my own place, boss don't know yet
I grow cannabis on the side for some extra change, it adds an addition 3k a month
I can't complain to much, i know there are others in terrible situations.
People in shitty situations, i feel for you b/ros. Don't look for others to change it, do something about it. Working for someone else isn't job security
Personal trainer at self-employed
30-50 bucks a session (hour) or about 59k/year
I only work about 22 hours a week and the only thing I hate is people lying to me, telling me they do workouts I send them for the week until I see them again and then they get no results becaUSE THEY AREN'T WORKING OUT BETWEEN SESSIONS
But they still pay me so it's cool
Close I guess, stripper. She will do bottoms on lap dances, mostly old or ugly guys who couldn't touch a hot girl otherwise. They often cum their pants or pay to give her backrubs and talk. She started behind my back when I was making good money, she had a night job she quit and began there. Tells me a week later, averaging 2k in 4 days. Hard to turn it down when I lost my job. She barely works, can stay home with the kids, new cars, and the house is getting redone. She buys a lot of clothes but I can't complain.
Used to work for geek squad, bunch of fucking dumb shits there. People how know "computers' Annoys the shit outta me when they ask customers if they need help.....
I would suffer in silence and think "they know more then you do! you prom night dumpster baby"
Currently i work at Apple
>Flight Attendant for major US carrier
>$24.60 per flight out/ small per diem during layovers
>dealing with the incredibly fucking stupid, unsanitary and rude general public everyday
Yes, we have two kids. I'm 28, she's 21. You'd never know by looking at her. I started off life real well. Bought a 5 bed 2 bath at 22, got a new car at 23. Fucking her when she was 16. First kid at 25 just after she graduated high school. I lost my job, got a diff one, then self employed. She worked part time at the front desk of a motel for shit money and is currently three years into a degree. I stopped my job and went to work for an employer for verifiable income not long after she began dancing. Just had final kid last year. We actually wanted kids, if you don't, don't have any.
Sorry m8, phone is a piece of shit and doesn't want to work
Something for your troubles
the pay scale at my airline tops out at $64 and hour which isnt terrible
you could easily make over 70K at that rate .. you just have to wait 12 years
most airlines are like 14-19$ hr so I have it pretty good
It's shit, man. I've talked to almost every flight attd. from our inbound flights and its always so much complaining and just plain shit. I have to deal with someone shitty for just a few minutes at a time, I can't imagine being trapped in a metal tube with them for several hours at a time
The struggle is real. Everyone and their mom is a fucking designer these days.
The good news is that a graphic design degree from just about anywhere other than the 5 big art schools in the US are worthless. The bad news is that without a knack for illustration and sales you're gonna get rekt by any competition with talent or a pricey art school degree.
Either way I took the same approach and now I work for printing companies and advertisers designing bullshit I don't care about. It can be really soul-killing. The only saving grace is my instagram with thousands of fake followers that I use to convince drunk girls I'm famous.
are you a gate agent or like customer service rep in the terminal? regardless I see both of them getting screamed at every day. I would fucking kill someone.
being trapped it a metal tube does suck ass ... you cant escape people
Same here. Part-time (12 hrs per week). $9.69 per hour. However, all I do is sort & shelve the books. The two most annoying things about my job are: 1) patrons who play team oriented online video games and 2) patrons who recklessly mess up my shelf.
Really obscure intel job for big brother.
Job is ok, less stress than when I worked in IT.
But I worry all my old IT skills are wasting away and nothing I do here will transfer to another job. Also, feel like a fraud waiting to be found out and fired most of the time...
Coatings / Cathodic Protection inspector
1900CDN a day before tax (350 is tax free to cover living expenses etc.)
I being away from home as much as I am, I get to travel a lot but it's to shitty little towns 99% of the time.
Sales Manager at auto broker firm
35k yearly salary plus commission
I fucking despise selling shit and the car dealership network in general. Good thing I love cars.
Just went from
>Customer relations manager at BMW dealership
>The customers are all a bunch of entitled motherfucking picks
>Register/pizza maker at my friend's restaurant
> Almost everyone I work with is younger than me (I'm 25) and/or is/was addicted to some shit like heroin
I'm happier making pizzas because BMW owners can suck my fucking ass
>20-25 hours a week, paid biweekly
>no free food, very strict regulations, shitty managers
Aint a bad first job. Since i still live at home i dont have to pay rent so its v nice walking around money
>$30/hr for highschool/$40 hour for college and no taxes
>hard to get solid hours so that hourly rate doesnt translate to as much as you would imagine. Some kids are strait fucking retards who are only in tutoring because their parents forced them and dont give a single shit so I spend an hour talking to a brick wall.
>its aight, im starting my own business rn
Geek Squad, ARA
12$ an hour
Really fucking slow at times and the pay isn't that great, I don't have to deal with people tho
Universal Studios - costumer
Bullshit coworkers that write each other up for dumb shit. Otherwise the job is fun and gives good fulltime+stocks+benefits and the stocks payout directly to your paycheck, so if you just keep buying them, you could be making like 20 an hour. broken system really.
90-100k a year
6-7 days a week, no time for vacation, no life, everyone always wants something, literally don't bother making friends, they just want shit too, girlfriend is in it for the shit I do, everyone is a needy piece of shit and one day I will systematically murder anyone who ever did not fucking do anything for me even after I bent over backwards to help them with their fucking problems.
In summary I fucking hate people and their needy selfish faggot ways.
>play with needles
>when I was 20 started sounding (putting rods and pens in my peehole)
>hear about horrors of metal and MRI machines
> stuff needles in my peehole
>go to doctor
> put me in MRI after they couldn't figure it out.
>massive frag grenade in my penis
> pass out
>wake up still alive, no cock and balls. All gone. Decided to begin a new life less destructive. Never horny. I have many hobbies.
Shop Forman, heavy equipment fleet, diesel tech, custom fabricator, race car builder.
My 7-5 job I make 28.50, 58.00 after 35 hours. When I do fabrication depends on the job, but I usually make 150 to 200 an hour roughly.
I hate the piece of shit flat faced spick I have to constantly tell what To do, and the stupid polock Labors. Also people who have no comprehension of what goes into fabricating custom 1 off peices.
Janitor at 4chin
They don't pay me (live with parents)
I hate how 4chan has consumed my life, literally all I do is lurk, post, lurk, post.
Coupon people and management that don't want to give you full time or promotion because they want to give the old people promotion rather than young people
im just a recent college grad. the amount of people who do in-home tutoring in virtually non-existant. I get 1-3 phone calls per craigslist add i post. if i wanted i could work 7 days a week all day every day. but when you are your own boss you slack. All that considering, i think im a really good tutor and most of my kids have gone from D's to B's
Service is service, fucking cook food and stfu, no one cares. That's like saying, I'm not a janitor I'm a custodian, or I'm not maintenance I'm engineering... You're a pathetic service industry grunt, go make some sauce and pretend it's special
Pizza shop "not really a manager but being trained as a manager so other managers can take days off when their job is apparently to hard for them.
11.50 an hour
36-44 hours a week and 80% of or employees are creak because we have abusive managers. Needless to say we can't actually keep anyone cause they all quit or get fired for sucking.
We have the same kind of employee is just garbage he knows it gets yelled at all the time and fucks up everything doesn't care about his job because mommy and daddy make 100k/yr each so he drives his privileged ass to work out parents money gt-r and complains that he doesn't make enough money
Runs kitchen? Seriously chefs still act like they're special, fucking pathetic, I used to laugh at the faggot "head chef" that acted like he was special for cooking food for a living, fuck, what a pathetic existence, you fucking toast sandwiches for a living either at McDonald's or any other place, you're a glorified 70's housewife
I heard the worst thing about Whole Foods (which at first glance seems like it might be one of the more cool retail places if you had to do retail) was the smug spoiled attitudes of entitled customers who rage if their lettuce wasn't picked one leaf at a time on a Thursday by a left-handed virgin named Alejandra who got full health benefits.
software engineer at a defense contractor
I don't feel fulfilled doing it, lots of security and my office is underground, so that sucks. Nothing really to complain about though, coworkers are nice, pretty much impossible to get fired.
thanks anon. hopefully the business takes off soon and i can work for myself full-time. I really dread the idea of working for someone else at this point after working for myself for a while
Rite Aid Pharmacy Technician
10-somethingdon'tfuckingknowwhatorcare per hour
Unreliable coworker, calling in at the last minute because of some bullshit excuse. It then falls on me because I'm the only reliable dumbfuck that does shit.
Bar chef. Pizzas, burgers and fries.
$16 p/h, 25-30 hours p/w.
Not enough hours plus I can't fucking stand the so called 'sous chef.' Sloppy, stomach churning, spotty, sweaty, lazy, fat cunt. I've never seen tits so big on a man before.
I deeply regret quitting my last job.
