I enjoy the job for the most part. The worst thing about it is having to deal with the other employees. We have about 15 people employed and most people are pretty good at what they do, but the few that suck make the job shittier for everyone, especially the managers.
I really started noticing how much it sucked having bad employees when I became a manager. There's one guy who constantly screws things up and disrupts the flow and I think he does it to spite me, I think because he thinks I take the job too seriously and it's obvious he doesn't take it seriously at all. He's the kind of guy who clocks on and then goes to the bathroom for 10 minutes, then when I tell him to clock off he goes to the back and gathers his things for 10 minutes before he wanders over to the timeclock. I don't work every day and sometimes I come in and notice that when I wasn't around he did things that I constantly tell him not to do, but does it when I'm around.
Other than that I thoroughly enjoy working in a restaurant-esque environment, especially being a manager. It makes me feel awesome when a crazy rush happens and everything goes smoothly, I'm able to remain calm and collected which helps everyone else out; something that the other 3 managers struggle with.
I'm on my way to starting a career with the government but I'll be sad when I leave this pizza job.
