I'll take chrono trigger anyday. Better characters, better story, better music, better plot, better drama, better art direction, better game feel, far better immersion, game is just superior all around.
Zelda is a lot of fun, but the puzzles and where the fuck do i go now elements just lose me. Game can be pretty boring without a walk through, like all zelda games.
Chrono Trigger you can actually beat without a guide, and it doens't get boring. Not to mention crazy replay-ability, basically inventing new game+ and having all those cool different endings.

Yeah, they got rid of the writers, tossed the story, and butchered the campaign, but actual gameplay in Destiny is amazing. It has the best shooter mechanics out of any game, IMO. Also, the world and art are beautiful.
Bungie just fucked up by letting Activision have too much say and by radically changing the campaign structure less than a year before release, which meant the game really wasn't ready at launch.
