Hitler was a sensitive man

He went to art school when he was younger
He wanted to be a painter
Hitler was a vegetarian
He was also a non smoker

He hired gay and handicapped officers
He was concerned about overpopulation
If Hitler was alive today, he'd listened to The Cure
The Smiths and Depeche Mode

I enjoy most art that has visibly had lots of effort put into it. I wanna be able to appreciate and make my own interpretation of something complex, not be told that a turd in a urinal is a representation of rebellion against an oppressive society or something equally retarded

>>683622153
no its piss on copper. I cant agree with you completely on your criticism... Dadaism was a preform of surrealism, which is my favorite art form. This is by warhol, much later stuff, but the concept of making reproducible and good looking stuff with no effort put into it, can be just as exiting. I dont like modern art or anything like that though (stuff like this>>683618660)

expensive arts is not only a thing you hang on your wall and look at, for most high society fellas, its mostly a status symbol. They try to impress people with stuff they bought, but dont have any major interest in arts itself. Its very similar to the music or movie industry. People who have no clue what they can get, buy that shit and ofc thats why there is a market for it.

how come no one calls bullshit on the other guy.
At least art from previous times has some depth to it, you can pretend you are cultured by giving at least one sentence about the art piece to your overly-tanned tennis buddy.
But you can't argue nothing with the modern one.

I gotta say, reading through this thread, how much modern art still pisses people off is funny. I mean you guys getting pissed off have everything else in productive existence made to instantly gratify your vapid existence, why does other people wanting a bit more intellectual meat on their art bother you so much?

And yes, historically important unique pieces bring in lots of money in revenue so are very much worth as much as sports athletes and the like.
>>
>>683623578
the main reason is because everyone profits from it... if they make money out of it, both the people who auction it, the artist and the people who control it for authenticity make profit. I also wouldnt think that all art pieces in museums are reals, there are many fakes hanging in every art museum and its for the exacly same reason why people like that are successful, probably the only difference is that the "fake artist" at least needs some talent to achieve his goal and the other dude just needs to know influential people.

maybe the artist wanted to express the uncertainty of once gender. The missing penis symbolizes the assumption that this is in fact no boy, not yet a woman.

>>
>>683633326
If you use the search term mentioned above you'll find a painting with the same girl in a similar position holding the same ball and the vagina is very clearly a vagina and not a penis. There are a total of four paintings of this girl that I know of. That is the most ambiguous of the four in terms of gender: in one you will see (as mentioned) a clearly outlined vagina, in another she is wearing a female hat and standing in a very feminine pose. I don't know why you would dispute this.
