I loved this album in middle school/early high school (no hate).
I remember listening to the album for the first time and my jaw hitting the floor. It was the spookiest, strangest, most extraordinary album I had ever listened to. I saw them in concert a few weeks later and was blown away.
Then their next few albums were sort of "meh" and now they're just doing some sort of stupid punk band. I don't even know. All I know is that they were communicating with extraterrestrials, ghosts or something on Frances the Mute. Completely out of this world
>Periphery's first self titled album
Powerslave and Blind Guardian's "At the Edge of Time" are close contenders for second.
Listened to in my teen years and it stuck ever since
yup pic related one of my fav albums
18 will post another album because it's hard to decide
Remember waiting in line to get this when it dropped.
For me it's a tie between ATF/WP/ST
Fuck did SNW fucking kick ass too!
On a rainy day, I always throw this album on. Not sure why, but it just feels like such a rainy day album to me. Make a cup of tea, sit on the porch, watch the rain fall and contemplate life
It's crazy to think that Spirit of Eden was released in 1988.
I always think of 80s music as like Def Leopard with those corny sounding drums and shit.
Then I got into Talk Talk and was like "oh I guess not all music from the 80s was corny and awful"
I'm 36 and fucking love Journey big time.
Don't Stop Believing is my favorite song of all songs. No shit.
Live in Houston. Fuck I love this song.
Yeah, they had a pretty tight sound around the time it came out. Dual 7s with head/munky and fieldy/david just killing the beats. No one expected to hear the shit Jon was yelling about at the time. Him being a coroner and seeing all that shit really fucked him up.
Life is peachy was sick too.
Actually, this one is very very close for me as well. Both these albums I participated in the crowd funding.
same anon. This album is also 10/10
He is from this meme. His image was spammed among a ton of Faces of /b/ threads awhile back.
31 came across a wicked looking album in local music shop. stuck it into the old CD player and my life changed... :D
Came across this rare album hiding in the back of Newbury Comics. Nobody ever heard of it before, brought it back to my place and it changed my life.
personal favorite album, raw as a motherfucker
Nigger i am techno dj, my taste is the creme de la creme. Daft punk is nowadays at the same level as fucking steve aoki and those other cunts who never touched vinyl in their life's
> Second Stage Turbine Blade - Coheed and Cambria
Very close to being a tie with Undertow by Tool
Honestly not as good. Seemed like they had the pressure on to make a album with a wider appeal but ended up sounding polished and a little try hard.
Its not too bad though, saw them a couple months back and their live show hasn't faltered at all.
>waiting on new shit.
its funny, im mostly a jazz guy, but i remember
my time in high school, i used to go to work and
blast that album in my headphones while cleaning
after hours. gonna listen to it now.
>25 (turning 26 in 2 months)
>Thelonious Monk - Underground
>Death from Above 1979 - The Physical World
>Top Track (in my opinion)
>Full Album Stream
Will upload a torrent link or mega link if anyone is interested
>King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
I grew out of Korn a long time ago. It trips me out that they're still around.
I prefer weightless tho.
To bring you to an overwhelming question
