Mostly selfmade food with all my meat coming from nearby butchers and vegies from a farm 2km away. For School food that stuff is fancy for normal homemade stuff not then i agree that its pretty basic but still good.

Most of us brought our own lunch and once we hit High School we left campus for lunch and used to hang out at the Arcade down the street.

High school fag here also, state of Michigan. Can confirm a lot of school lunches look like this. Personally some of the ones I've seen at my school are cancerous. They will feed us turkey sandwiches; with old turkey, bad cheese, stiff stale bacon, and sometimes moldy bread. On days they have mexican food, it's mystery meat, and smells questionable. On days it's asian we get orange chicken, sometimes it's cooked, sometimes it's raw it seems(?) and that's served with "fried" rice. Which is white rice with some weird cut up carrots and onions or something thrown in. Basically though if you don't want to give the school an extra dollar for the prison food, which is already about 3 dollars, you only get the entree, one fruit, and one drink. And then the good food, as in the stuff the people actually make and don't heat in an easy-bake oven, are 7 dollars to buy, not covered by any free lunch programs. Plus there are studies that have had prisoners eat school food, and they prefer the prison food.
