I also don't know if you know what your're talking about because a register is a piece of hardware that deals with storing bits and a parameter is part of a function header. if they did do something like that, with something like, say C or ASM then there are many implications. since registers only deal with bits if they don't have some software on top of them before their data is passed to a function then you can do any sort of injection you'd like as long as you know what their systems are running on.

I've dabbled in c++, i nowhere near able to write my own programs, but if I see someone elses (pretty basic one) I can tell what it's doing.
