Bahahaha I love listening to Trumptards. Deep down they know Shillary will beat them unless they rally behind Johnson.
he's gonna cut your taxes you boys
Does this mother fucker look like he wants more regulation in government? Hell fucking no.
I am and you should too. This election is the perfect time to do so since the two major parties have shitty meme candidates. We should at least get the third party votes very high so the normies can see there are more than two options.
Why are you wasting time with Trump. Do you want Shillary to win?
3rd party for 2016!
We can beat Shillary. Trump is a lost cause.
If someone wants to smoke weed then they should be able to.
If you want to trade with someone in another country then do so without taxes. The efficiency of comparative advantage benefits both parties.
If you want to own a gun then you should be able to get one.
2016 Transhumanist Party Presidential Candidate
Futurist, philosopher, speaker and journalist
I didn't realize that you got arrested for pot
that you can't get a gun
and you're actually some dude "trading" with another country and not some butthurt lolbertarian talking shit
Actually enjoy President Trump faggot
because that's who you're voting for if you think there are any other options politically than what we're being offered
don't like it? get off your fucking ass and join a movement to start a viable 3rd party
but no you'd rather just troll faggots to lazy to get up and open another beer
1. Are you fucking stupid? People get arrested all the time for that shit. Check out our fully booked prisons.
2. Have you not fucking seen how the government is trying to take out 2nd ammendment away?
3. Any time you buy something at a store from another country that tax is being applied.
>wants to keep the government out of your life.
Actually I want government in my life to raise the minimum wage
I want government in my life to get a system of single payer healthcare
I want government in my life to protect people from hate crimes and discrimination
I want government in my lie to punish polluters, and mitigate climate change issues
and I want government in my life like the fire department and law enforcement
fuck you and you utopian honor system bullshit
Many of regulations are implemented for no reason other than to collect fees. Others are there only to protect existing businesses from competition.
Example of bullshit to raise money: In Connecticut, there is a $50 fee to get a license to upholster furniture. There's no exam. There's no experience requirement. It's just a bullshit fee to raise money.
Example of bullshit to prevent competition: taxi medallions.
This was from the government melding in the market and giving poor people free money. They had no way of getting rid of the bad risk the government incentivized. Educate yourself.
says the faggot who doesn't realize deregulation caused the 2008 Financial Crisis
I really hope this thread is just shitty b8 faggot
I can't believe idiots like you really exist outside of an RV park
but they will now because retards are actually considering switching sides to spite the Dems
if you are voting anyone else,. you are giving Trump a 3rd hand
we need all the votes we can get to elect Clinton
I just gave you an example.
The point isn't the cost for that one particular thing. The government taxes a lot of people a little bit for no reason.
Another example: Connecticut requires $142 in fees, a mandatory 730 days experience, completion of coursework, and an exam to work as a conveyor operator. No other state in the country requires a license for this. It's a bullshit licensing requirement that every other state somehow manages to do without.
you said "many regulations" and then gave some obscure example nobody cares about
you cannot prove that regulations are by and large superfluous
pure assumption with your paranoid anti-government filter turned on
Small Businesses in the U.S. on the Rise, Reversing Six-Year Downward Trend
Regulations are actually a pretty common complaint among business owners. It often ranks higher than taxes.
>Another example: Connecticut requires $142 in fees, a mandatory 730 days experience, completion of coursework, and an exam to work as a conveyor operator. No other state in the country requires a license for this. It's a bullshit licensing requirement that every other state somehow manages to do without.
so you're not in favor of states' rights?
I'm giving you examples of bullshit regulations. They exist in every state, at every level of government. There is no possible way to do a systematic study of all of them.
Another example: Connecticut requires $129 in fees and an exam to work as a forest worker. Duties include things like transporting seedlings and planting trees. No other state in the country requires a license for this.
Just skimming the intro, it doesn't look like you're helping yourself much. It says it went up for 1 year, reversing a 6 year downtrend. It also says that the gains remain below pre-recession levels. It's says that it is slightly above the historical norm... but only if you limit the historical norm to 20 years, which mostly includes the entire shitty Bush and Obama economies.
>so you're not in favor of states' rights?
No. State's don't have rights. They have powers. Only individuals have rights.
But to answer the follow up, I want very limited government at every level, not just at the federal level.
You... you realize that Oligarchy would most accurately have described a Jeb-Hillary election?
Oligarchy does not mean small government. It means control of government by a small number of people. The government itself can be quite large.
We established that government regulations are increasing and that entrepreneurship is in a long term downtrend. That's a correlation.
I can outright prove that government regulations limit the creation of new businesses because THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT SOME OF THEM ARE DESIGNED TO DO. Taxi medallions, for example.
>if there really was
Living in denial much?
Im voting for him also. My family hates trump and cant stand hillary. They now have an option.
The country is becoming more libertarian.
How great would it be if all of a sudden everyone voted gary johnson for president.
The key is getting in the debates. Last time it happened, Ross Perot got 19% of the vote and was leading in the polls before he dropped out for a few months.
He needs to be in more surveys and to build on that 11%.
Typical sheep liberal ignorance right here.
Im gonna disagree. Mcafee is guilty of murder in another country. A known child preditor. Hes also a know drug addict. It would all be used against him and would ruin any chance johnson would have.
>raise minimum wage
Kids in school should still work for 7.75. They don't need a living wage.
My healthcare costs very very little.
No one is taking away any of the shit you mentioned either. Libertarians aren't anarchist or minarchists. They just want to government to let people do things as long as they don't hurt other people inherently. You will be able to own a gun so you can go shoot a target safely. You won't be able to dump radiation into a lake because fuck it.
I had a talk with my 15 year old sister about this today. She was saying how we should have government funded college.
I explained how its a noble thought of her for thinking and looking out for her fellow man. The issue is that the government no matter how badly you want them to be have will alwayd have the opportunity for abuse and it will be abused. Also, the funding will be taken from each and everyone of us hard working individuals to pay more as the government will essentially be maintaining a monopoly and not allowing for competition to drive prices down. Government regulations are a large reason why schools cost so much as it is. To think givong full control to government is insanity.
>Mcafee is guilty of murder in another country.
No, he was a person of interest. Not the same thing. He was never even charged with murder, let along found guilty of it.
>A known child preditor.
Hadn't heard that. Source?
>Hes also a know drug addict.
Gary Johnson also admits to using drugs....
McAfee has (had?) $100 million. The LP is always desperate for money and McAfee certainly still has a big pile left. And McAfee would be almost as good at getting media attention as Trump.
Yeah gary johnson smokes pot. Mcafee snorts bathsalts and who knows whatelse. No one in their right mind ia going to vote for mcafee
He was never charged with murder. According to his explanation in the Fox Business debate, he fled the country because the government demanded a $2 million "contribution", and when he refused, they raided his house and confiscated $500,000 worth of stuff. They then spent a week torturing him and when they let him go, that's when he fled the country.
He doesn't smoke pot anymore, he just does not care if you smoke pot.
But its a two party system.
You really should move here to Sweden, we have systems like that
only problem is that by 2020 only 45% of the population will be working and paying taxes to support the remaining elderly, sick, schools and everybody who doesn't want to work, which will probably collapse the country eventually
Implying voting for trump or hillary isnt a complete disappointment. Most people in my social sphere cannot stand either bit are gonna vote for who they precieve the lesser of the two evils.
Im voting for johnson because i fundamentally agree with what he stands for.
I could care less about the current system. I was gunning for Sanders but ill be fine however this election turns out.
If your state is going D, yup you have no voting power. Its all or nothing. Your voice will have no electoral representation and thats just tough shit. Change the system if you want
You Americans don't actually have to vote for any of the candidates right?
You're just kind of "encouraged" to because that's what everyone else will do.
I mean you could vote for Homer Simpson if you wanted to couldn't you?
Yeah, like if the big companies would let the small ones grow without throwing prices through the window.
They can sustain loses for long until small companies go bankrupt or elsewhere
You usually end up taking votes from the candidate that you would rather have if you had to choose between D or R.
Look at the 2000 election. People wanted a more progressive candidate so they went Green from Dem. As a result, Bush took it. Had they not supported Green, the president wouldve been Gore given how close the race was.
As opposed to the current system, where the existing or large corporations bribe politicians to pass such complex regulations that it costs a start-up a million dollars in legal fees just to get off the ground?
Implying i want dem or rep
They are literally the same shit. They have you arguing over non issues(who can goto the bathroom at whos business when, who can marry who, how to raise your children) while the machine still chugs. You keep handing over more freedom, more labor, and you get screwed over and over again.
I got that. It's the same thing though. Republicans claim the LP is "stealing" their votes. The Democrats whine about the Greens "stealing" their votes.
I'm sure the Greens had some issue with Gore. Besides, Clinton/Gore supported Kyoto, but I don't remember Gore going hard core into that global warming stuff until after the election. I could be wrong, I just don't remember it until later.
Only ex-repubs will vote for him. and many many will.
Donald trump split the GOP and those people will vote for the thrid party. Meanwhile Hillary is going to pick up the Berners by choosing Sanders as her running mate.
Hillary Clinton will be the next president of the United states.. even if the majority of people don't vote for her.
It's already being speculated, and Sanders said he would seriously consider it.
Hillary would be retarded not to. Most of her strategy is appeasist based, she will bend her politics if it means getting bernie supporters on board.. I mean, the VP runs the Senate.. that's a lot of fucking power.
because people choose resources over honor.. even if they already own more resources than they could ever need.
Libertarian-ism will turn into a mafia state. Look at all the countries that have tried it.
explain how in the long run a mafia state is different than a police state.
the few are always going to step on the majority, regardless of the system. just sightly different methods
im also not aware of any countries or even societies which have actually tried it. examples please
god damned cucks trying to ruin our country
Sicily became somewhat anarchistic after they succeeded from italy.. then the mob took over.
After perostroyka, russian private enterprises started without restraint since they didn't have 'laws' governing communist companies since they were run by the law.. Extreme wealth disparity, mafia and crime shot up, quality of life plummeted.
Somalia.. tribes started pushing the government out until no government really existed anymore (more anarchism)
A police state will not kill you for not paying them exuberant rates. A police state swears to a document, not a person.. meaning there are things they cannot do without no longer being police. A pollice state is voted into office and can be voted out. A police state doesn't use violence as coercion.
and guess what WE DON'T EVEN LIVE IN A POLICE STATE!
We cannot because we have a constitution.
it would require the constitution to be completely irradiated.. which cannot happen anymore than the next president saying "yeah.. ok america is over you guys, go back to europe and africa now"
Our system has a push and pull. Our constitution prevents elected people to gain more power like the Nazi's did in germany. It wouldn't happen without a violent revolution against our military, because even though politics go on, our military stands as a silent guardian.. sworn to the constitution and constitution only. They will take over the whitehouse and restore power back to the voters in the case of a rouge leader. We set that system up in Egypt and that's what they did with their dictator in the arab spring.
youre giving people too much credit
a third of the population thinks parts of the constitution are obsolete. another third believe different parts of it are obsolete. the other third are viewed at loons by most of the first two thirds
trusting our military to not just follow orders is a bit naive.
we have generally become lazy and complacent. willing to give up much for perceived safety and artificial convenience and it only seems to be getting worse each year
>A pollice state is voted into office and can be voted out.
That's not included in any definition of police state.
>A police state doesn't use violence as coercion.
Yes, they do. In addition to the threat of violence, they also use the threat of imprisonment or confiscation of property.
>a third of the population thinks parts of the constitution are obsolete. another third believe different parts of it are obsolete
maybe so, but not the parts that matter here.
>we have generally become lazy and complacent
because everything is ok right now.. if shit starts going wrong everyone will stand up.
>trusting our military to not just follow orders is a bit naive.
I do trust the commanders not to just follow orders.. especially when what they spent their whole life building and fighting for is being torn down and they are the only ones who can stop it.
In a police state that the US could ever be in, yes, none of those things are possible.
Have you followed the Civil Asset Forfeiture controversy at all?
>On November 9th,
it is fucking MAY now you dumb cunt.
Do you realize how fucking hilarious it is seeing a whole fucking nation, which purports to be the best in the world, getting worked up months , if not years in advance of something that has already been decided by a higher power.
you guys are so fucking dumb it is actually sad.
wake up retards , your "votes" mean nothing . Unless you remove the "secrecy" part then those in control can tell you fucking anything about who won what and where
wake the fuck up
yes. it's pretty fucked up. Local departments do some crooked shit for money. Luckily, it is usually brought up and contested.. unlike in a mob state where you would just be shot.
>not the parts that matter
are you fucking stupid?
to not see that every single part is just as important as the next is dangerous thinking
>"well, thats important to you isnt important to me so fuck it and fuck you"
or they will give it all up for security. not to be pessimistic, but i would wager on people bowing to the great leader(s) if shit goes wrong
>the great depression and the federal reserve / new deal / etc.
and who puts the military brass in their position? they arent elected by the people, you know.
why dont you just fuck off to a different thread like a man instead of whining like a little bitch about it
>why dont you just fuck off to a different thread like a man instead of whining like a little bitch about it
why not choke on a fucking huge bag of jewish dicks you fucking zionist cunt
I disagree with your assertion that a police state would necessarily just shoot someone for contesting them. They don't have to shoot the person if they know in advance that the courts will side with them, because the laws have all been written in their favor. And until very recently, that is what has happened. Local police departments had no check on them because the courts would always rule in their favor. No shooting necessary.
However, if there is someone making political waves that could disrupt the system, it is not unheard of for them to be executed.
