State your job, age and salary.
Chef at Wendy's
Surgeon at kaiser permanente
I only do minor surgeries like deep flesh wounds and apendix removals.
Pool service tech
Just changed career paths
Used to co own a business, lack of any life outside work was straining my marriage and slowly killing me. Working 10-16 hour days with maybe 1-2 day off a month. Pay was shit too because overhead and employees came first.
Now i'm a driver for an auto parts company
Nester at a lumber yard 15 an hour plus benefits and bonuses
Liquor store cashier
Automotive technician at BMW dealership.
21 USD per hour.
Keep in mind, I am paid based on how much work can accomplish. If I happen to get a bunch of well -paying, easy jobs, I can average more than 21/hour. Or I may get fucked over chasing down ("diagnosing") a rattle sound or crazy electrical fault caused by rodents for hours/days for which I may be paid the 1 hour flat diagnosis fee.
BTW, this is my first job in the field and this is my starting pay. Unfortunately, had to spend 30,000 on tech school like a scmuck to get here, but you can skip that part if you have a real dad who teaches you to work on cars.
Dude... if you work on surgically on people as a PHD, then why the FUCK would you make less than me? I work on banking systems in an IT role and make more than 20 dollars an hour more.. Either you are an idiot and did not negotiate for more pay or you are full of it. Having worked in IT for healthcare and having access to the payroll system in/around 2010 entry level docs made a shit ton more.
Taxi cab driver
Works out to 8 an hr
I get to sleep in my own bed and get Sundays off so it's nice compared to truckdriving, my old job.
I wish I was a gov employeed assasian or an international mercenary. I'm saving to be a heli pilot. I've got it worked out to where il be flying in Iraq in 4 years for a PMC group so yay.
It's hard to say. If you're motivated and talented, get an internship or two and work from there and you MIGHT make it with no college debt.
But think long and hard about whether or not you can put out the hard work and have the skill set.
For me, college was a good choice.
The amount of bullshit in this thread is too damn high
Everyone is 20-26 and making 100k/year
Ur all in debt or unemployed.
Maybe working at a gas station or some shit for $10/hr
Not in my area, but if I was west coast or in NYC, I'd need six figures. As it is I have a suuuuper easy job with crazy benefits and a ton of time to travel. But yeah, I'd fight harder for more cash if I lived somewhere more expensive.
What a lie. Actuaries make up to $150k after 7 to 10 years of experience. The only actuaries making over $200k are the directors or those that have been working for 15 plus years.
>Student / Potwasher
Sooo much debt.
Political call fag here. I just worked 1 out of every 4 years when the elections are going on. I rent a building out, fill it up with people who make 10 an hour and profit 8 an hour per person. Today we had 433 hours total. Shitty part is that it's not every year.
Not the original guy but i also work there, nah it's not really as in your face as you'd think. Everyone's just a person at my location, everyones pretty nice and stuff.
also the pay isnt awful. 9.50 an hour starting.
Asking for donatives in the street for homless dogs
Not to moral but in my country its fucking imposible get a job
To any higher up retail fags, is it worth it to go to college?
I was a front end manager once without a college education, but I'd like to go higher than that at my new job.
But I'm shit in any school environment.
damn those tech school jobs pay well, i got a B.S and make the same if not a little less...fuck this country. I saw on the news this morning welders are making like 150k a year, fucking welders!
Not that guy but it's just the way of the world. A cancer research will make less than a Viagra researcher and an actor will make more more than th president.
Sad state of affairs.
First thing's first:
You misspelled 'burger bitch'
Now to contribute:
Liquor Store Clerk (Temp, but still a government position cos this state is a control state)
And now to throw this in to a cringe thread.
> Be me
> Be 27
> Add crippling debt and moving back in with parents
> Work shitty temp govt job
> Real dream to be in a band
> Write shitty music
Well. That got depressing.
Yea that'd be pretty fun. Fortunately there's no shortage of conflicts, I just need to find my niche. I'd love to go out to Ukraine and destroy roads railways bridges or place mines for convoys or patrols. I would go into Syria too if I had a guide. I would rather work for the US gov though. More protection if I got caught traveling with fake passport or what have you. I wouldnt mind working undercover for the DEA or fbi either. I'm not a fan of Mexican and Columbian cartels.
But seems how I can't expect you to know my life, let me clear out the falsehoods in my emo story:
> Of course I don't fuckin cry about it. That's why I got a job while I work at what I want to do.
> The music I write I think is pretty fuckin good. Just haven't recorded yet, still saving up for supplies.
> The debt is only 20k. It's really not that bad, just annoying when you make 8.75.
Thanks for playing. Hope the b8 you took left the pleasant aftertaste of my cock in your mouth you fuckin cretin.
Software Engineer - Automation 89,500K/salary
The Gods of the Roll are giving you a sign to get the fuck out.
Not saying I doubt that you do hard work, but I assume you'd be doing something more strenuous and back-breaking, if your hands look like that
>clerical staff/dispatch at UPS
not what i was planning on doing since i never went to university. apparently there's lots of room to move up but i don't know what i'd like to do with my life. i enjoy my job but i wish i could make a lot more money. ups is neat because i was interested in running my own business, but at my job it's like managing a bunch of other businesses and making demands and satisfying customers. individual customers picking up packages is ok, it's nice to make peoples day if they need their package right away but the part i really like is trying to get businesses to sign deals with us. unfortunately given my position i rarely encounter this but i like to do what i can. i don't know why i'm telling this to 4chan.
Always amazes me that it seems that about 50% of /b/ro's are in the the top 10% of earners... A bit like those car threads where about half of posters seem to be driving top end sports cars...
you useless fucking twats don't do shit. If I was a politician I would pass a bill to limit your shitty fucking salary. Why am I an asshole? Learned it from family. My uncle was a firefighter in Schaumburg Illinois for 28 years. He explained it well: You get 1 career fire in 30 years, everything else is a walk in the park, and you get a pension. All the calls are absolutely nothing. Even HE was laughing at how fucking dumb it is to get that kind of money. You don't make $100,000 a year btw. Lying sack of shit. After 28 years, 55 years old he made $72,000 in a city of 75,000, in an area of 620,000, AND he was a certified EMT, and instructor. Literally hate you cocky ass fucking faggots. You all lie. One thing my uncle always told me, never become a firefighter, all you do is feel like you never do well enough to deserve the salary. And it's true. The ONLY fire fighters that deserve that salary are in Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles. They actually risked their life. Alot of fucking pieces of shit like you will go 30 years and never be fucking frightened in your entire career. Please god let cities Subcontract this shit out like ambulance services are now. With equipment I would put you faggots out of business.
Never mind I just looked it up and wished I hadn't. People actually get off to that shit? Eww. I browse b and have seen some fucked up shit, but I don't get this fetish.
Yeah I am changing routes to the more modern approach like Plini or Sithu Aye. As in producing it all myself and releasing it on Band Camp cos everyone I try to start a band with fucking sucks.
Britbong reporting in, just want to say I visited TN last year, Wendy's was the place to eat. Keep up the good work.
