Rolex has pioneered kif, parachrom, and paraflex not to mention it has a free sprung balance which have all proven to make a more reliable movement. It's just nice to have an anon's opinion on things like this every once and a while (plus to be reassured that the watches that I'm looking at aren't complete crap). As long as it will last a generation or more (with proper upkeep) and will look fairly respectable, I'm OK with it.
