SL550. Built like a tank. Very fast in a straight line. Boring.
Best car I've EVER had is the 911. Funnest is the Miata. (well, second funnest, after the 911).
Had an AMG C-55. Fun, but save up and get a p-car.
Getting one of these next. Remarkably cheap nowadays.

STEM degree (EE in my case) plus MBA. Techies who are business savvy are in high demand. Even better if you have taste.
TBH luck is important too - I live in the Bay Area. But luck can be manufactured.
Here's my first car.
This car is fun. Way more fun than a Camaro. (I had one of those too - they are pieces of shit).

I wish I'd get that promotion they've been promising. I will instantly go from my current salary to between $2.5k - 5k a week depending on business. That's when the fun begins :^)
Car: Renault 18 american
currently looking to upgrade to this but finding one with a 5,6l engine and in decent condition is hard. I know you all think I'm a slav or a turk for liking 80s merc coups. My uncle has been a merc mechanic for over 20 years and he was the closest thing I ever had for a father. These were the first western cars I grew up with. Imagine being 5 and seeing one of these pull up next to ladas, moskvitšes and other shit the ussr put wheels onto.
>Car: 2014 Honda Accord sport
>Income: $5000/month cleared
Grand wizard, wtf is that? The fact that I don't have an income doesn't mean I don't have money. And I've never needed to drive a car, I can just order one and it takes me where I need to go. I just don't really move enough to justify the costs for owning one. Basic math.
picked it up yesterday.

I got it tuned with a smarty tuner running approx 600hp 1250ft/lb torque, great for pulling equipment.

>drives a bentley

HAHAHAHA holy shit you're pathetic. Kill yourself faggot.
I'm always amazed by people who insist on keeping their cars when they live in central London. The only people I know who regularly use cars are embassy officials who don't give a shit about tickets. Most of them hold tickets amounting to twice the value of the car every year, Hehe.
Fucking hell. The more I know the more I'm convinced I came to the wrong profession.
I'm living with my gf, renting a one bedroom apt near battersea. After bills (no food) I still have around 900£ for the month - which in london is not much at all. Specially if you want to save some.
I'm never letting my kids go for engineering - what a shitty area.
I think Engineering is a High-risk High-reward type of deal.
I have friends around the East coast in the states that are trying to major in Mechanical Engineering and they constantly brag about the contracts and the income, but we will see in 5-8 years.
Yeah, big company - traded in the FTSE too, actually.
I wonder how I could migrate to financial areas. I really don't like going to construction sites - is nothing but dust, noise, eastern europeans. Plus I'm really not that good of an engineer anyway. I feel I could be alot more productive in financial areas - especially related to the market (my new found "love").
Yeah, they earn nice pay checks but it's still a shitty job, in shitty countries. Plus you have to constantly jump form site to site.
Actually, I would say engineering is a safer career path than, say, law or finance. Some lawyers, especially in the US, make disgusting amounts of money. Others make fuck all defending penniless street criminals. Some people with finance degrees work as glorified telemarketers, others are wall street bankers on obscene amounts of money. Engineers generally don't have the same outrageous earning potential but it's a field in constant demand and eng grads usually find a job that pays the bills well without great difficulty.
Well, right now I'm finishing up under grad and plan to do Pre-Med and step into the cardiovascular field, which would net me $600k/Year. Mind you that would be the starting salary. But I'm losing interest lately in that field and trying to find a major that I can have fun in and make bank with.
The only way to make big money in engineering is to either be successful at creating your own company or to somehow escalate within the company to a managerial position.
About 1 year ago (I had been with the company in question for 1 year at the time), this big manager gets the job to be my boss's boss. Dude was on the verge of retirement and stil only making 60k a year. I was on 24k at the time. That's when I realized I'd never be able to escape the rat race with this type of salary so I began looking for other solutions - hence investing.
It's definitely something you could look into. Finance houses seem to love people from Science/Engineering backgrounds because of the analytical skills you develop. My father did a BSc majoring in Pure Maths and got headhunted for an investment banking job straight out of uni. That was a different era but I think those employers still look for similar things; people who can recognise patterns and make sense of data.
>just "step into" the cardiovascular field
>$600k/year starting "salary"
>thinks any doctor on a salary earns more than $200k
One day you're going to get slapped in the face hard by the throbbing cock of reality, anon. God bless your cotton socks.
I've heard about that too but don't really know enough about financial institutions to be sure I would enjoy it. It's very easy to be seduced by the idea of working in a hedge fund or something alike and you end up as an analyst looking at X companies all day and their potential threats.
All things considerend, I get to work from home ALOT - no other job would give me this much time at home - and that gives me time to learn about the market and explore for myself.
>anon makes a measured observation about engineering as a general career path
>autismotron 3000 is triggered harder than a SJW at a Trump rally
>uses cuck out of context
>boasts about his grandfather's [probably nonexistent] achievements because he has none of his own to boast about
Shh Quade, adults are talking
yeah people on /b/ can be so retarded though. They talk about shit they have no idea about. Engineering as a general career path has huge potential if you aren't a retard and can actually talk to people.

They're pretty fun. Not too fast in a straight line but they handle really well and they're forgiving. I wish mazda made one with a bit more power - maybe a forced induction engine. Would be perfect as long as they didn't add much weight.
Hairdressers car too. Cheap two seaters with a decent amount of power will cost you.
The earlier eunos MX5s have harder styling and in my opinion not as feminine as the facelifted models.
Golf R, a bit more expensive but all wheel drive + a bit of grunt when you hit the throttle. The new Mustang GT is completely different but actually handles pretty well for its size.
