ITT: Your favorite drink to get drunk. Also general alcohol thread.
Pic related because it's cheap but doesn't taste like gasoline
Where I live a 4 pack of these 16ozers is about $2.50. I drink 4-6 of them a night
I usually drink a 375 of Jim beam and 2 24 Oz of those, and I'm pretty fucking drunk. Sometimes just half the Jim and one of those, or half and two, or the whole bottle and one. I mix it up a bit. Sometimes just the some Jim and a few light beers.
Basically, I love Jim beam. It's affordable and not too bad on the taste
My regular weekend drink. Used to drink jack daniels until multiple incidences of sleep paralysis and doing other retarded things.
>inb4 underage faggot
I used to drink admiral Nelson rum or cheap vodkas, but one of my exs loved whiskey and got me into it. It's not that I didn't like it before, I just never drank it. I was drinking rum or vodka from 15-18, because face it, those are your typical teenager liquors that everybody always gets. When I met her she was always drinking whiskey, so I tried it and never turned back. I always had to mix rum and vodka, but I shoot whiskey straight. Sometimes I'll order a jack and coke when I'm at the bar, but it's usually shots or I just drink straight out of the bottle at home
I like Miller Fortune, it's cheap but tastes better than most cheap beers, and is 6.9% abv so a 6 pack gets me quite drunk
My issue with beer is if it's good I want to savor it rather than chug and get drunk but if it's cheap I can't drink more than 1-2 cans.
How's Guinness on flavor? Is it big on hops? I'm really picky about the balance.
>I get a good drunk off of that.
i used to buy a 12 of coors light after work, bout 12 years later it's an 18 pack of bud and a few nips of doctor m.
i probably drink too much, oh well. i still smile sometimes.
Currently going through this one.. Not too expensive and very tasteful.
>decided i wanted to know about brandy
>googled supermarket brandy and read about the different types
>tried was Remy Martin. was nice
>tried Three Barrels. fucking awful
>tried Napoleon brandy. was ok
>tried Courvoisier Cognac. was ok
>tried a few others, some nice, some fucking awful
>notice E&J brandy in a local store
>buy a small bottle
>was pretty good considering it's price
It's cheap, and better than a lot of the other shit i've tried.
Guinness is a very dark stout, heavy barley flavor, it's a very sharp taste. You really can't chug it, it needs to be drank slowly. I'm not really a fan but I can appreciate those types of beers
>How's Guinness on flavor? Is it big on hops?
light and chalky flavor, zero hops tasted, actually light on the alcohol content as well, 4.5 i think. look man everything is subjective, you drink what you like, i'm drunk rambling.
I've found that I build up a tolerance to different types.
Went out with this girl and we only ever drank red wine, got to the point where i could drink 2 bottles and be fine. But a few pints of beer and i was fucked.
Started drinking whiskey, could finish almost a whole bottle and not be too bad. But red wine fucked me after half a bottle.
I dunno if this is true. But it seemed to happen to me,
I tried Hennessy Cognac. It was nice, but way too expensive for what it is. I know nicer brandy for half the price.
I'm pretty new to brandy, though, so I'm coming at it as a newfag.
Vodka. You can drink it anywhere, at anytime.
Three Barrels isn't too bad imho. Not massive on brandy but yeah, Hennessy's a bit too pricey for my liking.
But then I drink the fucking de-icer store-brand shit on a regular basis.
eh, they're similar in the fact that they're both white rum's. I think bacardi has a much more unique and enjoyable flavor, the captain morgan stuff just seems like they put a ton of sugar in it to mask the alcohol. That might be ok for people who don't drink much but I prefer bacardi. And the captain isn't even that much cheaper
I've only had Three Barrels once. And it was the second brandy I'd tried. It's been the only one, so far, that I didn't finish and poured away.
I kinda want to try them all again now, and see if it was just because I was new to it all.
Fuck, brandy is gonna kill me.
I can drink 20+ beers or a liter+ of whiskey without an issue, but when I drink more than one 4loko it usually makes me puke. I don't know if it's the taste or the sugar, but I've tried drinking 2+ of them on a few different occasions and I usually barf.
I'd rather drink whiskey, anyway
I'm drinking free white Zinfandel tonight. Liquor store I work at got some box wine that was all fucked up from a bottle breaking and ruining the cardboard, so I got to take home some 5L and a 3L box.
But when I'm drinking on my dime I like:
New Amsterdam gin
1800 reposado tequila
Cavit pinot Grigio
Jim Beam and Jack Daniels are ok
Hennessy is best cognac/brandy
Titos is best vodka
Fat tire Amber lager
Old scratch Amber lager
Don't judge by the name. Costs a little more than captain Morgan but doesn't have come with the taste of ass after every swig. If you like rum buy this immediately!
>got a massive eagle and shit to be like YEAH THIS IS AMERICAN
That's why I buy this
8.99 in my area. I'm not picky, and shit, the bottle does say "extra smooth."
Not even trolling, get a taste for whisky try different types, the cheap stuff the expensive stuff and drink some JD and you will love the taste/smell. Plus it's what the cowboys drank so obviously it manly as fuck
Best rum I've ever tasted. It's pretty cheap too in the UK. Plus the blurb on the back claims it's the oldest rum still being made
Me and my buddy were just in the store and randomly picked it out not knowing it was the best fucking rum ever haha. The aftertaste turns sweet in your mouth unlike other rums
Not much of a drinker, a bit on the younger side, but ive been enjoying plantation rum and jameson whiskey. Been drinking a ton of seagrams gin, but ive since decided to try out some of the other cheap brands, we'll see how that goes.
Anyone know anything about tequila?
The only 2 that my local store sells is Sierra and Jose Cuervo. Silver and gold in both.
Tried all 4 and my favorite is Sierra silver. I'd love to try some different ones.
My gf won't drink spirits straight. She always has to mix it with something, which I just won't do.
But she says that Mount Gay make a nice Mojito. Which is weird, cos it's not a clear rum. But she even asks for it now.
Seen this many a time before, I've yet to try it.
Decent considering kraken it usually pretty pricy. I used to be friends with the owner of rock bar and he would always pour us doubles and sell us bottles for cheap. Shit was so cash
This is mine. Simple and cheap beer, but it never leaves you and I remember that once (with my best friend) we drink 3 packs of 32 beers while waiting a friend in the hospital. The doc didn't know who should to attend.
My prom night all we had was doctor m, cause my buddy's mom bought all the liquor and that's all she bought. None of us drank too much so we were all super fucked and there was basically an orgy in the living room. There was either 7 or 8 guys and girls both and we were all fuckin right out in the open.
Gotcha. I dont venture too far away from the bottom shelf myself, best rum ive had was probably angosura 5, was like $22. Plantation 5 is only $16 though so i think thats what ill be sticking to
do you have butterscotch schnapps? you'd dig that probably
Cheap as chips, tastes a bit like farts and dirty water
Simple and cheap is my choice as well... unless I'm at a party, hanging with friends or something, I'll drink heavier stuff.
hahaha that's a proper way of describing it m8
With Ice and Lime depending on how I'm feeling, or coke on a night out,
On a deprived night in K cider does it for me, yes it's a tramps drink and society would class me as middle upper class. but i love the taste and it does the trick.
>tastes a bit like farts and dirty water
Just to get drunk? Mr. Boston vodka mixed with store-brand iced tea. Or Young's Double Chocolate Stout for something I actually enjoy drinking.
Cant really get drunk on kvas or land shark, but theyre very good.
>mfw i can drink like a fish in water and not get drunk
>i dont believe ppl get drunk so easily
I dunno if you can get it where you are, but everyone I know prefers Paddy to Jamesons.
There's probably nothing in it, just a local thing.
I've wanted to try this ever since I saw it but it's like $60 for pic related. Has anyone tried it and if so, is it worth it?
Anyone drink Canadian Club or Crown Royal?
My uncles would always have a couple bottles lying around at parties. It grew on me after over the years. I love it now
>bragging about drinking in 2016
>drinking in 2016
I find canadian whiskey to have less fruity notes and finish a little drier.
think more oak and woodsy flavors.
I've drank a lot of crown. Never drank Canadian club, but there's a (kinda shitty ) local beer called Utica club. I drank that shit religiously when I was younger, it's dirt cheap and used to get me drunk.
The drinkability wasn't great, we used to call it tar in a can. But it was 'the' beer back in the day, and I'm not a bitch so I always drank it.
Ha ! Thats from barbados got lots of those
Jesus, that's even worse.
But yeah, the alcopops we're saddled with in the UK do have their moments. The iron brew WKD isn't bad if you want to feel like you're 12 years old again.
Ive been meaning to try that.
Finishing the last of this bottle tinight
You know this isn't an alcopop, right? UV makes those but this isn't it, the bottle is much bigger. It's literally just flavored vodka. For about 15 bucks a bottle, it goes pretty well with iced tea too.
Oh I see, so is this essentially Skittle vodka but not Skittles, if that makes sense?
I'll let that slide, a bottle of WKD that size is like, 2 units at best. Piss weak but good gateway shit for the kids.
Honestly UV tastes good enough on its own to not have to mix with anything. The blue one, anyway. Never really tried the others, and I haven't drank blue in 5+ years, back since I couldn't stand the taste of any (even flavored) liquor straight
A friend of mine bought a bottle of Kauffman vodka. And, man, it's fucking delicious! I had no idea vodka could taste so nice.
But at UK£70 a bottle, I doubt I'm ever gonna have it again.
But... storing any vodka in the freezer makes it a nice tasting sipping drink. It goes really thick and very cold, and the flavor becomes more subtle.
tl;dr: Keep your vodka in the freezer.
I skimmed parts of this thread so I might have missed it, but I don't think I've seen any gin on here yet. I've tried Tanqueray and Seagram's, but I really wanna try Bombay Sapphire just cause it looks neat. Is it any different from regular Bombay if anyone's had it?
I'd be careful if I were you, anon. You could really mess yourself up drinking too many of those.
From my own experience, not so much.
But I know people who ask for a Sapphire Martini in clubs in Manchester, but that might just be a snob thing.
This is a non-answer, really. I hope someone else provides something better.
discounter whiskey is actually pretty great, especially considering the price-quality-ratio
but its pretty cool
stay away from sierra tequila, its terrible
just google for some brands, there are a lot of great and somewhat cheap ones
i like 1800 and tequila corralejo, even my friends who hate tequila normally drink them
i pretty much only drink bombay sapphire, tried some others but stayed with it, no idea how the normal dry one tastes :/
this stuff man, i love this stuff, dark rum at 47%
Fuck. We used to do one called a Cement Mixer or something.
It was Baileys and Lime cordial and you'd pour them in your mouth and they didn't mix, so you ended up with a whole mess in your mouth that you had to swallow.
Jack or Guiness on ordinary days. If I want to feel a bit more fucked up, tequila (preferably gold) with lime and salt is my go to. I don't like much else, vodka is absolutely disgusting.
Old school niggers LOVE E&J. I hung out with my weed dealer once when I was 17 and he was chain-smoking blunts and drinking lean but instead of Sprite, he was mixing the codeine syrup with E&J in 44oz. styrofoam gas station cups. We ended up spit-roasting this adorable 7/10 we picked up at the mall earlier that evening. Then the stupid nigger wanted me to take the bitch with me when I left because his wife was coming home soon from work (at 1AM). I just laughed and got in the car with my ride and we drove away. Never saw the nigger again, but I saw the chick we banged about a year later, pushing a double stroller with a newborn white baby and a newborn black baby. I damn near rear-ended the car ahead of me because I double-taked so hard.
What's with all the hate? UV blue is 35% abv, no weaker than Grey Goose or Belvedere, it's just flavored so it's more enjoyable to drink, rather than tasting like straight isopropyl. Plus it's cheap. If I'm going to a social drinking get-together, I'll buy two pints and sip them throughout the night, and I'm usually pretty drunk by 11PM or midnight. Only costs me about $10 for two pint-sized bottles. Not bad at all when it's frosty. Tastes like blue raspberry snow cone syrup. Definitely not a sophisticated alcohol, but it's no Bartles & James or Smirnoff Ice.
LCBO isn't restocking RJ so I'm stuck with Crabbie's.
love this rye whiskey
Fuck the Captain, the Sailor is where it's at.
Delicious with Vanilla Coke, and will get you fucking Lahey-sauced pretty quickly.
Fuck off and checkem, Lahey.
I know that the statistical probability of being pregnant with twins from two different fathers is astronomical, but it can and does happen, hence why it freaked me out a bit. But I haven't heard shit from the bitch in ten years, so I don't know/don't care.
I'm white, btw. Was only a nigger on the inside back then.
This shit in 100 proof, because I'm a poor alcoholic.
I sure did. I did a complete 360 and walked away from that lifestyle. I went from your average teenage wigger to a full-blown racist that would make Benjamin "One Man Holocaust" Garrison.
