I drink no soda at all save for outings at restaurants which is very rare. I drink energy drinks, three a week at the most. Legit drink water and "juice". Shit is literally corn syrup and water.
I love pasta and grain in general, it's a big problem. I never realized how bad my eating habits were until a couple weeks ago. I want to be pretty.
I am moving to a college apartment complex, i'll try to do a few laps round the building each morning since summer break.

Making a diet plan is easy. Not bitching out on it is the hard part. I worked out hard and dieted hardcore and lost 40 lbs and gained 20 in muscle, then lost it all when I got a good paying job and ate out every week. I'm back on my way back down again. I hate every single part of dieting, but its all about willpower.

The absolute biggest mistake you can make is to drink your calories. You get like 40% of your daily calories with absolutely no fulfillment of you drink only one or two glasses of soda/juice. Water, black coffee, and tea are your only friends now

drink nothing but water. do some fruit smoothies to recover some essential sugars you're cutting out by not eating desert. take it easy at first, develop habits like working out every day. even if you don't feel like it, and you won't, go and half ass it. start running. just stop when you get tired and can't go on. every day just keep pushing yourself but not too much. withing a couple months, if you keep this up at least 5 days a week, you'll see improvements already.

I used to eat almost all day, like snacks and shit. I think a breakfast at 9:00, Lunch at 1:00, and Dinner at 6:00 and eating nothing after 7:30 would be good. Drinking water and a couple cups of coffee throughout the day would be good as well. Idk about snacking too much tho. And I fucking love ice cream dude. here's a trick for you. if you put just a little ice cream in a smoothie mix and most of it being fat free plain yogurt and some frozen fruit with some honey in it, it tastes a lot like a milkshake. i think it would satisfy your ice cream urge. keep it small portions of ice cream. like 10:1 amount of yogurt to ic
What helped me was blogilates videos. I was too embarrassed to do a class cause there's people there, but working out at home is easy when you've got all those youtube videos available. Find out what you like, for me it's yoga and pilates but maybe you'll like a gym setting better and like, lift weights and shit.
Also, never do weight losing teas and pills.
This is true, but it's an oversimplified version of it. You could survive on mcdonalds alone, having little calories of it. Your body needs nutrients and you can't simply lower your food intake. You need to eat more of the right foods - raw veggies and fruit. It's basically impossible to overeat on those. Avoid oils, also. I see people thinking they're having a healthy salad and they've smothered it in oil, poured a bag of salt over it and put fucking parmesan in it. God.
running really is great. i got to the point where i can go 2 full miles without stopping after a couple months. i hadn't run in 10 years before that. the high is really similar to smoking pot and it lasts all day. you'll sleep better too

I'm going to be honest here and boldly claim that I'm really the only person on this board who can help you.
Carbs are not all bad, vegetables and fruits are carbs, which I what I recommend you eat. Invest in your diet, never eat out, drink solely water, and fast once a week (not eating the entire day, or not until the end of the day)
Couple this with exercise, and you've got your life back. I work with many overweight people on a daily basis, it's my job to help them, and I've built my client base from scratch.
Avoid processed carbs: Breads, candy, soda, avoids literally any per-packaged food. Meat is not good for weight loss, don't eat red meat and eat very little in general. Meat is high calorie and causes the body to produces huge amounts of bile salts. Avoid it. Also, fruit juice is not good, many people don't realize this, it's nearly the same as a soda. Fresh juice is different (non pasturized)
Additionally, workout for 30 minutes a day. You don't need to kill yourself workout out, do it from home and keep it simple. 30 minutes of jumping jacks are a lot harder than you think. Move the body, sweating is good, very good infact. Sweat your ass off and get ready to love the struggle. Love the struggle, my friend.
One lady went from 240 to 150 in less than 8 months working with me. Her diet was as follows: rice, beans, potatoes, spinach, green smoothies, kale, carrots (all veggies) quinoa, all stemed in a pot. No liquid other than water, no smoking/alcohol. She stuck to the program and is actually quite attractive after everything.
Move move move. Don't sit around. If you really want this, you have to work for it. You will not see results until 2 months in. Stick to it no matter what. Every. Single. Day.

focus on keto, high fat and protein, very low carb, start loving meats. if you're broke, canned chicken is like a dollar and high in protein with zero carbs.
for exercise, sprint short distances and then walk for a bit, and repeat. something like sprinting thirty yards and then walking a hundred or so would be fine for a beginner, but eventually you want to (on a typical track surrounding a football field) sprint a hundred yards, walk the curve, repeat until you can't do anymore. it'll be better for you in the long run than jogging (both on your joints and for your stamina).
or you could try swimming. since you're already a whale, it should come naturally.
you got a long road ahead, just take it a step at a time. I'm 50 lbs down from my peak and I'm maintaining it but it takes effort.
Food is a shit drug. When my family started having health problems from a history of abusing food for pleasure, I woke the fuck up and realized I didn't want to die like that.
Don't eat 2 hours before bed. You need a break every day where you force yourself to burn calories.
Exercise. Find an activity you like. You're not in good enough shape to do the activity that you might find you like the best(i.e. running or something), but you can walk and go from there.
It's going to(and it should) take you a year or so to lose that weight. Keep it off for another year and your body will get the message. You'll find that your 'set point' shifts. Now, even if I do eat too much, it doesn't "go right to my ass" or something. My body knows it's a thin body now.
Becareful what advise you take from others. Weight loss is like 80% about your diet. That being said if you starve yourself too much you will potentially damage your metabolism. That means you will never be able to return to eating "normal". That will mean you'll either gain the weight back or be real hungry forever.
Just do yourself a favor, eat healthy, eat smaller meals and stay active. LIFE STYLE CHANGE NOT CRASH DIETING.
Excercise can be anything including just a 30 minute walk. It is about CONSISTENCY. Worry about the PROCESS not the results. If you eat healthy (and not excessively) and you stay active you WILL lose you weight.

One of the most important things you can do is not eating four hours before bed. If you go to bed hungry, your body senses that you are in a time of famine, and your stomach size will decrease and your body won't want as much during the day. Here's the thing. Do the gym if you want, no one is stopping you and most people suggest it. BUT. You said you were going low carb. If that's the case, youve probably looked into the keto lifestyle. Doing keto, drinking a ton of water, and getting your fat I take while keeping your carbs below 10 or 20g a day, you will lose weight faster than you ever could have imagined even without a LICK of exercise.
I bring this up because I am a "all or none" kind of guy, but every time I apply that mentality to weight loss, I burn out so fast and quit. So fuck it, if going keto is hard enough for the first little bit, DON'T hit the gym right away. Get used to eating keto, find meals that work and those thay don't. Get comfortable in your new lifestyle, then maybe find some time to do some gymming.
Also, get yourself a multivitamin to take every day in case you aren't getting enough nutrients for the first bit.

It's all balance. try to find a 'diet' you can eat for life. for me, lots of full fat yogurt... snacks when I need them. I supplement with fake foods here and there(i.e. those power crunch bars at walmart of all places are actually damn good).

If you aren't hungry. You aren't losing weight. Do exercise while hungry. Then go home and eat a ton of broccoli. Fill up with water after. Do this everyday and you are golden. I don't have any friends that date fatties. Lose the weight.
Just to be clear on the last point. I think both of these people are correct. Plyometrics is just a form of light weight lifting where your body is the weight. A healthy balance of the two works just fine. You could opt for all bodyweight but you might decide you'd rather do a couple moderately weighed bench presses instead of a bajillion pushups.
You can lose a considerable amount of weight by just not eating or drinking anything that is mostly sugar. I did that in highschool and lost about 50 pounds. I didn't change anything else.

hey good luck. one more thing, when you do lose weight, be prepared to start looking at your fat friends and family differently. Once you realize it's up to you and you can control it, you aren't going to look at them the same way.
for your back, work on your posture. You can burn a fuck ton of calories by just standing the fuck up straight. suck in the gut. it literally will take months of work before it 'feels right' but you'll save yourself all kinds of spinal issues while also burning calories. try laying on the floor flat, legs together, raise your legs til you feel your lower back come off the floor a bit. try to keep your back pressed in to the floor as you raise your legs. it takes a while but it slowly trains some really good postural muscles.
I'm up to 27 miles on the trail this week. Not bad for a 41 year old. Also just built a retaining wall where I moved about 6,000 lbs of gravel and ~100 50lb blocks up a hill with no mexican laborer assistance. Do you realize how fucking stupid you sound trying to be tough on the internet?
That switchover, or "keto flu", can last a few days to a few weeks, but once your body has regulated to running on fat instead of carbs (when you're in ketosis) you will feel better than you ever felt while eating a high carb diet.
Buy some keto strips when you have a chance, most drug stores have them but you might have to ask the counter. Piss on one once a day to see how deep into keto you are.

Focus workouts for different goals, i.e bulk or lean muscle in different areas. Never, ever just stop eating as a way to lose weight. It isn't good for your mind and self respect/esteem, but more importantly it will fuck you over in regards to your metabolism.
