I know I'm late, but I just finished Breaking Bad a few days ago and I have no idea what to watch now. I want something that's really good that'll keep me entertained like this show.
Shows I've already seen and really liked:
>Game of Thrones
So, what do I watch?
sopranos, breaking bad took a lot of inspiration from its themes, comparing criminal life stress to family life stress, lots of symbolism, theres even an episode where the main character is in a dream for 25 minutes
fuck, thats delicious
Better call Saul seems good, he was cool in Breaking Bad but I have heard it starts slow and my autismo ADHD-self struggles to get into shows if they don't pull me in quick enough, but I think I'll give it a go because it's connected to BB and Saul and Mike were cool.
She was mildly annoying in the first 3 seasons, she got really great in the 4th season. I'm not finished with the 5th season yet but she's backing Walt against Hank. Jesse's been annoying since the beginning though.
this show has already finished, but Dexter is pretty good. the episodes are all an hour each so itll keep you entertained for a while and they're all on netflix. prety good show. oh and tits are a plus
It's good at times. The first season was a huge letdown due to how predictable it was (they identify every character and their motives very clearly from the get go, so you aren't surprised at anything that happens). Quality also drops once they throw the kid into it.
Better Call Saul
If you're willing to give something with a little more humor a try... Dead Like Me and Firefly are also fantastic shows.
Grimm (recommend you start here)
Hell on Wheels
Ash vs. Evil Dead
Black Sails (recommend here too)
Hemlock Grove (Netflix)
You're welcome OP.
Iv'e been watching the x files on netflix does this show pick up or does it keep its slow pace? Some episodes are an absolute drag.
Lost was awesome, but god damn their pacing and breaking up of subplots. I'd get interested in a story line and they'd suddenly drop it, move onto something else, and force me to wait years/several seasons before they'd get back to the character or story line I really cared about. Obviously it isn't that much of a problem now that the show has finished airing, but it's still annoying.
I loved BB, but Ive never given BCS a chance. I felt like most of its fanbase are just biased BB fanboys. Im just not seeing how it wouldnt be slow. Hiw could it be gritty? I mean I know mike is in it, but how can one gritty person carry the show? Am I wrong? I feel like BCS is what Fear the walking deaf is to the original. Same writers. Slower story.
Game of fucking Thrones man. Awesome TV show and very, very unique compared to anything out today. There's no real main character, there are just a very big list of characters and many different storylines. Your favourite character since episode 1 could die 10 minutes into the 3rd episode of season 5 just out of no where.
Plus boobs and ass
big bang theory
house of cards
game of thrones
under the dome
the last kingdom
2) Attack on Titan
3) Hunter X Hunter
4) Death Note
Why has NO ONE mention the daddy of all shows yet? Game of Thrones
Bc he mentioned he watched it
Here's some I'd recommend that haven't been mentioned:
11.22.63 (8 episode miniseries)
The Man In The High Castle
Forever (cancelled after 1st season though)
Dude , Black mirror is an amazing series. The wire and Deadwood are the other "greatest if the great " series along with BB and the sopranos. My favorite is Deadwood , but they're all proper greats.
Right now I'm watching Black books after finishing Spaced , fucking amazing sitcoms .
Anybody into spaced right now?
>Grimm (recommend you start here)
I watched the last 4 season and don't really know what to make of that show.
The show is missing the gore effects and the main caracter is a faggot. That whole love triangle with his girlfriend and the "Hexenbiest" is compeltely retarded too. Also the "one episode - one case" concept sucks.
At least they have figured out how to use google translator since the german is halway ok on the show. Though many of the creatures names are gramtically wrong.
Can someone recommend me something on netflix? please?
I second this.
Also where the fuck can i watch vikings? It's not on Netflix. I mean I would torrent it but got a email from provider. Canada fag here. Can they do anything more or is the warning as far as they will go?
Just make an exception for this
This. And some of these shows these faggots recommended have been cancelled so it's not worth watching. Check 1st.
>some of these shows these faggots recommended have been cancelled so it's not worth watching
>80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes
>92% of the audience liked it
>8.2/10 on IMDB
My nigger. Watch it OP, you won't regret it.
Yeah right, it is very good taste to like a show with a totally unbelievable story full of clichés, where the FBI are complete idiots and spader is the classic omniscient and omnipotent villain. Not to mention the countless loopholes in the plot.
But as guess as long as it explodes every 10 seconds and the bodycount continues to increase it's a good show right ?
Who cares if it has terrible acting and writing...
Ikr? It was a literal 10/10. Never got bored of it.
Gonna watch it.. again.
Just started watching that shit, and I don't know what it is but listening to them tell their story and the slow depth of it all is comfy as fuck. It's relaxing and engaging at the same time.
Hard to describe that feel
About that the pilot is retarded. I thought they could have done what they've done (won't spoil too much) literally anywhere else than at the bridge but then we wouldn't have had this stupid Michael Bay shit for about 5 minutes. After seeing this any half intelligent person would ask themselves : "Why here?" "How long did it take to plan this ?" "Isn't this too much?" "Why not just getting the girl before the FBI as this has obviously been planned long ago"
This is a grade A cringe show with pathetic writers and actors.
I'm a huge Breaking Bad fan, have seen it thrice and love to hear what people think about it, so I just have to ask out of curiosity: how did you like it? Also to answer your question:
>Better Call Saul
It is somewhat slower than Breaking Bad but you just have to watch it with the mindset that you just need to grind through the slow parts and it'll be worth it in the end. This is especially true if you liked Gus because he's pretty much confirmed for season 3 now.
If you liked Daredevil you might like Jessica Jones. It's slower than Daredevil and has less action, but probably one of the coolest villains ever played by David Tennant.
