>your favorite thing about this game
>the thing you hate the most about this game
>improved combat, more build variability
>sort of rehashes old concepts like DS2 did to DS1, invasions are a bit more annoying because it's just become gank central
I wouldn't classify the removal of poise as a good or bad thing. DS2 poise only really happened if you were in PvE or had full Havel's + Ring of Giants +2 in PvP, otherwise everyone uses the stone ring and can stun you no matter what, as for DS1 poise it was really just highest poise wins. There's never really been a proper balance.
Firekeeper is the daughter of the king and has her eyes torn out where as Firekeepers are typically born blind. She is forced blind and comes back everytime. That is why there is a tomb of identical firekeepers piled in the tower.
It is forever a repeating perpetual cycle. Stuck in a loop.
Dislike: How enemies can hit through walls and floors but i get sword strikes stuck on a wall
i just found all those firekeeper bodies in that tower. new to the game/lore so not even sure what that is..... got the shitty armor though.
and biggest dislike is also definitely how many times i get struck through the walls and shit.
>the new dual-wield weapon system. The Sellsword Blades are pretty under-recognized imo.
>the lack of poise AT ALL
>mfw being a Knight and being stunlocked by 2 Hollow thieves.
There are two kinds of pvp though.
In a duel, both people bow and neither heals. This is usually only in the case of the host summoning the mad/dark spirit.
Invasions however, all bets are off. Both can heal and anything goes. There basically is no, and never will be respect, as there shouldn't be. Invading isnt a "nice" thing to do, hence duel rules don't apply.
I'll admit SotFS wasn't the greatest, I found PvP to be fun, general gameplay was good but the story wasn't great, characters were all two dimensional personality wise and the only guy I ever cared about was Gavlan.
I still enjoyed it as a game nonetheless.
>covenants could've been way better but still mostly ended up shit
It's not about how much health you get revived with, it's that you can get back up after an attack that would have killed you. This seems trivial, but most of the time with the tougher bosses in Souls games, it ends up becoming "you can't mess up twice in a row." But being able to get back up if you screw up two dodge rolls is a huge benefit in most every boss fight.
pvp and getting stuck in a combo chain, not so much
this aint skimpy dude lol
and masters was really bad armor, hoping for something at least as good as my starting armor
>it's dark souls
>little variety in new armor
>poise is disabled
>environments are unsurprising, very similar to Dark Souls
>disgusting fanservice everywhere
This game pales in comparison to the original Dark Souls.
>new story to follow, new achievements to get, new experiences to watch other people have on youtube
>the poise system sucks, the pc matchmaking sucks because hackers can corrupt your game and get you auto-permabanned, the connections are laggy as hell, it seems like they're turning into cod at this point
can't wait for dark souls: modern chivalry or some shit
i bet they'll add the noob tube in too, i just fucking bet
>Most of it
>Putting 200 Bolts and 50 Throwing Knives into the dragon on the wall and still nothing
>not posting dat dancer booty
I'm gonna have to start dumping dancerbutt
Stats literally do not matter. As long as you have something on evey part of your body you'll do fine with defense.
True, though I just don't see Denial as being something worth using, doesn't it take up like 3 slots?
ToD in DS3 is 2 slots, 100 FP. Really not a huge investment, plus if you're just using it for pve you can cast it, and attune something different for the two slots while keeping the effect active
I can marry my character off
No shit really, ofc I've done it before but i'm literally just after starting a new character done the first two bosses and of his 1hour game time 30mins of that is me firing those bolts at the dragon for nothing only to run out and then run out of throwing knives.
Did he say it's completely done? I thought he just didn't want to release any more Souls-type games any time soon. We've had 3 (technically 4) in the past 5 years + 4 things of DLC.
Hyped for AC though
Pretty sure he said 3 is the last we're getting.
>"Miyazaki included Bloodborne when he mentioned that From Software may be moving on from the series. The creator of the series feels that the company needs to create new things and that Dark Souls 3 could be the big closure to the series. Nothing has been confirmed, but it seems a bit premature to close out From Software’s biggest series of the past few years."
So it's up in the air at the moment.
This x 100. Dark souls 1 is the best of the series
You know thinking about it now. He swears he won't do another. From releases 1 or 2 new dark souls games that doesn't do quite as well.
All of a sudden a trailer for yet another darksouls and it announces it is being directed by Miyazaki again.
Then hype brings the game back to the spotlight.
Best thing about Souls DLC is the outstanding fuckin track record Fromsoft has with their DLC.
>Artorias of the Abyss: great expansion of lore, arguably best boss fights in the game
>All three crowns for DS2: great expansion of lore, best boss fights in the game
>Old Hunters: great expansion of lore, arguably best boss fights in the game
There's a trend here, and I'm pump-a-rummed for DS3 DLC
>mfw still no word about this from FROM yet.
>deleted my character that I offline cheated one once.
>still getting this
>mfw I'm still playing DS2 on my PS3
>still no PS4
>worst dark souls made yet, to much walking, to many enemies, to much pointless bullshit, if they make another game like this garbage again I will not return.
I'm a mage also, fighting enemies is fucking annoying
Nope, I die more from stupid shit than enemies, games also buggy as fuck so far.
Bosses are definitely harder so I'll give them bonus points for that, however I'll always be an incredible cheezeburger assassin, so I breeze through em
>Pyromancy still feels fun as ever. It came to a good wrap-up of the series, in my opinion.
>Friends won't shut the fuck up about how "soopah cool" it is to be a mad phantom. Constantly talking about how superior their "Estoc Lock" build is to everything else.
>its just really enjoyable to play
>lock on system is shit,I cant summon anyone and im 40 hours into the game, even tho they can summon me with no problems.what the fuck is up with that shit
>lock on system is shit
Is this your first Souls game? It's the same exact lock on system in all these games
>tfw I got my xbox one 1 month after it came out
>The lore, characters, design and graphics.
>Literally everything else.
Dark Souls 3 fucked such an ungoldy amount of shit up that 2 did right. It's literally the exact opposite of what 2 was.
2 had good PvP, good build variety, everything felt useful in some way and it didn't feel like using a specific weapon simply because you liked it would get you murdered. Fashion Souls was strong in 2, and nearly anything was viable in some way. Everything felt like it had a purpose and a use. There was annoying crap like Avelyns for a while but those were fairly easy to work around, and the PvP arenas were probably one of the best things to happen. Same with the covenant glows which they for some reason scrapped for 3.
3 feels like the real sequel to 1 in that the story is much more linked together. The story is good, possibly better than 1 even (Outside of the characters, 1 was still better), but everything else is just fucked. The way they tried to mix bloodborne paced combat into dark souls just did not work out. It broke so much more than it made interesting, and everything now is about shields and fast attacking weapons because slow weapons in PvE is like asking for either a 30 minute fight or just flat out dying. They're far more useful in PvP sure, but things like the Dark Sword are still up there in terms of bullshit PvP weapons. God forbid you miss the parry, there goes almost all of your health from R1 spam.
Also they broke PvP covenants and matchmaking is fucking retarded.
>tfw I have a xbox 360 PS3 PS4 xbox one wii n64 gamecube
there's no basis for your claim of her being Oceiros' daughter.
in fact I don't think it's ever stated the child was female. All we know is their name is Ocellote and according to Oceiros' dialog they're a child of dragons.
If anything Yorshka is the most likely candidate of being Ocellote. Gwyndolin gave her the Yorshka name, so it could have been something else to begin with
Nope, I'm fine with the walking i guess I just think it's gay they removed the whole enemies despawn after x amount deaths thing, as I mage I get overpowered early on by spamming boss fights online and jump off cliffs constantly to skip enemies when I get bored to make walking cheezy, I'm ultra fucking lazy in DS, enemies are gay as fuck playing as a mage, and I only like mages because being a fucking wizard is cool
only played ds2,gave up on first one cuz it was so badly optimized for PC.ds2 had way better lock on system. in third one I sometimes cant lock onto enemy who is like 3 meters away and clearly visible.also durning some fights lock on gets removed by itself
In Oceiros's intro cinematic, he mentions Ocelotte using male pronouns. Paraphrasing here, but something like "He is all that I have. I won't let you take him from me."
I thought it would be Yorshka as well, but his dialogue suggests otherwise
>tfw your mummy buys all that shit for you and you brag about it
>tfw all these faggots play on their shitty PS4 for DS3 and cant afford a gaming PC
i tried to play bloodborne on my brothers ps4
never again all that frame dropping is annoying
is not that i hate consoles
but theyre technically not prepared to run modern games in a satisfactory way
Lacking of world connectivity? What nigga everythings connected from the start the only bullshit thing are those flying demons and the banner after vordt. They brought back actual shortcuts and no retarded bonfires every 50m. I really like this game but they nerfed the Maces which I fucking love
You sound like Alldick, Devourer of Traps
Sounds like you just suck.
My mage kicks ass.
Clerics Candlestick + Izalith staff + Great Deep Soul + Farron Flashsword = Bad time for you.
My faiths not even that high yet nor do I have Dark Clutch Ring among a few other things so I'm not even at peak form.
Fucking Git Gud
>no retarded bonfires every 50m
How do you explain being able to see the Dragonslayer Armour and Grand Archives bonfires in the same camera angle? They are literally 15 seconds apart.
In many cases, they have a boss bonfire, immediately followed by the start of a new area bonfire. A little much, really
They really dumbed the game down over time for a wider audience
I remember DS1 cleaving my asshole apart at some points but...DS3 I didn't even need to use half my estus until Dancer
And the PvP is a joke, far worse than the other games (maybe not quite like Demon's Souls, but still)
A lot of the perceived easier difficulty has to do with the player base being more experienced in Souls PvE combat. We know what works, what doesn't, what to expect, how to react, all that jazz. We are just better players than we were when we first picked up DeS or DS1
Its not that they banned you, its that the game data doesnt recognize something you did in that universe when you cheated, and now it gives you this error. Its most likely an item.
I know, right? I was actually disappointed in myself for having to use so many flasks for such a predictable boss but there was something about it that I wasn't doing right. Maybe it was RNG, maybe I was just bad, but either way. Refilled my flask about 10 seconds after beating her and then didn't use much estus until Giant Lord. I actually set the controller down and thought about things for a while when I accidentally got Onionbro killed.
Poise is a stat that dictates how easily your character can be staggered by attacks. High poise means that you can swing your weapon and not get interrupted by an attack.
There is pretty much no poise in the game, so even a massive ultra greatsword wielding player in mid-swing can be staggered easily by a weak attack from a dagger
I wasted 99 levels for meme gear. I maxed Vit to medium roll in Full Havel Set + Greatshield and I still get knocked around byou fucking anything. A fucking hollow can just sneeze and my guy fallsback.
Just cum already!
>I do not yet own it myself
Also, that boss gave me insane feels. Not sad per-say, just weird feels. It's like the dude is fighting himself and you and he's trying to regain control of himself or something.
Dude do you have a hentai folder dedicated to that hoe?
Super good fight, truth.
I've watched some gameplay and played some because my friend has it but I can't afford it myself right now unless some awesome /b/ro Steam gifts it to me or something
No way I have no idea what you're talking about that would be weird
any mexicans have an extra copy darksouls 1? i have a few games i could trade you for it
I can't let this 404 without spreading the joys of praising the sun.
I miss when DS had a boom way back when and it got huge popularity. Was the only group I felt I actually fit in with. All things must pass though. Was fun while it lasted.
And 420 Praise it, faggot.
The Abysswatchers all shared in the fate of becoming a Lord of Cinder and it kind of merged all their souls together.
They're probably trapped in some internal hell where they can't even discern who is who. They lost their sense of self and individuality.
In an attempt to free themselves of this they end up fighting each other. And with each death they start to feel more 'whole' and normal.
However since they're Undead they'll eventually revive and the cycle restarts.
OP here. It's been a good thread. I gotta get some sleep though.
Umbasa, praise the sun, and may the good blood guide your way. Long may the sun shine!
i also have non of this guy... but i mean it gets close
>How much more cleaned up the zones were over DaS2.
>Controls felt much tighter. Queuing was a bit odd at first but it grew on me.
>Endings weren't happily ever afters.
>My rapier still worked for me the whole game.
>Combat is a fucking joke for trash for the most part. The ones that are difficult are usually harder than the bosses. (bridge dog and friends)
>Bosses were horrifically easy compared to their predecessors.
>The queues are fucked.
>That Bethesda tier character creation still.
>Durability is still fucked up they just took it in the other direction this time.
>Some of the hitboxes are still pretty retarded.
>All those bosses with phase two aggression buffs.
>We're not going to do anything different, we're just going to spam our strongest attack more often.
Still having a blast with it though. NG+3 right with it.
the dancer twinblades are great.
usually just bait everyone in pvp with lots of regular L2's and then its usually over with L2 R2 R2 R2 R2 R2 R2 R2...
the continuous spin is dope
they were my end-game weapon of choice
You might also like the farron greatsword
Great for cheeky hits because if you hit the first time, you're basically guaranteed at least 1 more hit, and almost assured another one or two after that
Does pretty good damage, too
Use the mobs to face them, and for the love of god don't fight fairly. I invade a lot in irithyll dungeon and I won most of the time even though it was 3 vs 1.
Invading is not dueling you should use everything you can to your advantage.
>twin princes boss, best firekeeper, dark ending, so many ties back to the original game
>poise doesn't exist, literally everything staggers and interrupts you unless you're in a hyperarmor attack
Took this screenshot, edited in PS
You will never be unbanned on that version of the game happened to me on Dark souls 2 for copying a legit played character save from my crack version to an official copy they will never overturn it for any reason even if they are wrong.
>your favorite thing about this game
Road of Sacrifices all the way down to the Cathedral. Nightmare fuel up the ass
>the thing you hate the most about this game
I still have to enter a fog to enter boss fights when I encounter them for the first time. They had such a great thing going and then they ruined the rhythm
>The fact that they made every weapon have something unique, like it was in DS1
>That they swept poise under the rug and tried to pretend it doesn't exist, as well as all the gank squads
I call bullshit on everything you posted, I run spiked mace and its godlike, I don't have to rely on shields at all and covenant glows are better now cause your covenant adds a layered colour over what type of phantom you're playing as (golden/redbro) is sweet looking.
Only thing they removed that from 2 that annoyed me was the power stance of weapons.
Love it mostly, just a few changes in combat took me by surprise.
Like no longer being able to block Dark Knight attacks, you HAVE to dodge them. And parrying seems to be harder? I went back to dark souls 1 for a bit and I was nailing it there, but still can't get it off reliably in 3.
