Attempted suicide last sunday. 900mg of seroqual with a metric fuck ton of lithium. Seroqual to knock me out and keep me under while it fucked with my respiratory system, lithium to take down my cardiovascular system while I was out.
Passed out almost instantly after my head hit the pillow. Woke up two hours later, sick as a fucking dog. Was calm at first and knew I would pass out again soon, but before I could it dawned on me that if I woke up once, I probably would again and I didn't want to be awake when my systems started shutting down. I knew I was facing neuro damage so the clock was ticking on bailing out, otherwise I'd be too fucked up to call for help and would have to suffer through a shitty death. I didn't intend on it being a gamble.
Panicked and called an ambulance. By the time the paramedics got to me, I was unable to speak. Cardiovascular was going downhill fast and I was in and out of it. Landed in ED, 3 canulas in, catheter shoved up my dick and flooded with saline and potassium. I felt my face turn grey and went under. Constant neuro obs. Kinda regretted calling the ambulance at this point because I had reached the point of no return and I went under like I planned.
Woke up in an ICU of a different hospital where I slept and they continued to flush me out. After that, I woke up on the ward, I had a nurse assigned to me on suicide watch. Still unable to speak at this point. 7 days later I get discharged.
Can speak normally again, tremor in hands but I imagine that's just from whatever lithium is still in my system.
