It's a really misleading clause. I live in the state of the US that first implemented such a law, and its application starts at 16, and its actually only good for a 2 year age difference. So 16 and 18 is okay, or 17 and 19, but 19 and 16 isn't covered.

First of all, fuckin mad quads man. Second of all, I've proven you wrong already, as I'm the dude who has been with the 14yr old gor over 13 yrs. She was fully aware of consequences, we took our time befire sex and used protection for over 3 years. I wholeheartedly disagree based on personal experience. BUT you can't base an AOC off of one great/working experience therefore i do see the other arguments as valid. I've seen very mature 14yr olds who act like their 19 and also seen 16 yr olds who act 12 so it's extremely subjective.
