cats take a lot of learning to understand certain behaviors. For my cat whenever he shit on the floor I would put him in the litterbox and put him in the shower. (Didn't turn the shower on though).
He knows what the litter box is for though. I'm currently teaching him how to use a toilet. He... -sorta- gets the idea. He just doesn't like it because its slippery on his paws.

And without bothering to learn the original lore, they started making art and teaching their ways to even newer newfags. They made up things like enfie babbehs and baby hierarchies, eventually depicting fluffies as complete sociopaths in order to find more things to hate about them. The "I want to abuse them but I want them to deserve it first" crowd is literally the worst thing to happen to the fandom, as their shit drove away many of the great artists of the old in disgust.

I probably first discovered fluffies in 2012ish? I always thought it was just some kind of branch-off of MLP at first, so I always hid threads regarding it, but I remember deciding to scroll through a thread one day and loved every second of it. It could be that it was mostly smarties being smug that led me to believe that they were all vermin.
All that being said, I like that lore a lot more. They were some failed genetically modified pet or toy and when owners didn't want them, they would release them in the wild, but then they ended up breeding like rabbits and became a pest/invasive species, so people would kill cull them, others more elaborate than most.
