Yeah I agree that the inner self is something to be tamed, its a better therapy than any kinda medicine. But its easier said than done, Im on lamictal right now, and its a very gentle mood stabilizer. Antipsychotics are horrible, I had weight gain, tremendous drowsiness, and a ridiculous zombie like symptoms. I use my lamictal to help prevent drastic changes in my mood which is does without being too intrusive. Im actually pretty happy right now.

After I got rid of them soon, I got the curve and went back to life again.
Fun part is, the doctor who gave me these meds barely talked 2 minutes with me before prescribing them - all I went for to him in the first place was that I live in Austria, where I was forced to either go to the military or do civil service after taking a-levels, while my female counterparts were all free to go to university - and the workplace for my civil service was pretty fucking subhuman where the slave workers were held as such, thus I wanted to fake some psychic bullshit to have a more trustable reason to change the workplace to the one I applied for months before.(spoiler alert, it worked)
