The loss of faith happened because a vision--Jon at Winterfell--became totally contradicted. This wasn't just some obstacle. It was flat out wrong. That's what makes her question everything.

While I agree, the only good first episode of a season was the first episode of Season 1. I find majority of episodes to be filler and sexual filler while important stuff all happens at once in a few episodes.
Like next week Varys and Tyrion are probably going to have a lengthy scene where they walk back up to the palace and don't really say anything important. Then there is going to be a short sex scene followed by pillow talk. This irritates me because interesting things are happening elsewhere. I've been on /b/ too long to appreciate the nudity. There are so many story threads going on right now that a good percentage of the characters only get five minutes of screen time every other episode.
Part of it is the source material and part of it is the showrunners being completely shit at their job.
I still watch it because it is better than most television and movies and because every once in a while I get a scene like Hardhome.

I stopped watching when it became a meme to kill every good character to prolong the series. After Ygritte died I immediately did not give a flying fuck about the series any more. I know she was a minor character but god fucking dammit was she the best.
Mel sacrifices herself to resurrect Jon, replacing the scene with Beric doing that for LSH in the books.
The Sand Snakes lead Dorne to war, replacing the Aegon storyline and dying out later.
Balon Greyjoy is killed by his brother Euron (or possibly by Arya who gets her sight back and becomes a faceless man). Euron takes over the Iron Islands and takes his boats to Dany, who will be on her way to Westeros at the end of the season.
Brienne and Sansa do the Davos book thing and gather some support in the North. They will eventually meet up with Jon and the Wildlings and kill whichever of the Bolton's doesn't kill the other one when Fat Walda has a son.
Spear and Whip kill Tommen.
Cersei and Robert Strong kill the church. Bran wargs into Robert Strong and kills everything else.
