Dragonball Z is pre-teen over the top bullshit. Series should've endet after freezer saga but due to the popularity it kept going.
That said, all the later fights had like no impact. Everything looked the same, it if was SSJ2 or 3. Every small energy blast on these levels should have pulvarized the earth instantly (remember, even weak ass Vegeta at the beginning could have destroyed the earth with ease). So comparing the universes is pointless
