I have Skyrim on a console so I can't mess with mods. I had it on PC so I have played it with mods, and yes the endless possibilities make it that much better. But my point is that if we are talking about the better game, Dark Souls is the winner because it is deeper and more challenging than Skyrim. I have played and beaten both, and I'd say that Dark Souls has way more going on from the minute you begin than Skyrim, which is deep but ultimately "samey". I'd also say that the metroidvania world of dark souls makes it more fun than the sandbox of Skyrim
But don't misunderstand me, I have put countless hours into Skyrim and I love it. I just think it isn't better than DS
