Well in all fairness I was talking about the Christian and Jewish God, which is the most know one. I do believe that beings could have surpassed humans and some may be more powerful than us but I wouldn't call them gods. I'd call them extraterrestrials. I like to define a god as an omnipotent, omniscient, or omnipresent being. Or all of the above. Gods could also be immortal beings with extraordinary power. Like let's say a guy such as thanos or galactus were to exist then I would see him as a god. But we have no proof of any of these beings. Although I'm not atheist but rather agnostic. I believe most atheist define a god as a being who created everything and has been there since before time itself. And that's what they don't believe in. Not that they don't believe in beings more powerful than us but beings that are all powerful all knowing and all present.
