If this were true, no one would hire a white man. The reason these people make less, comparatively, is because they are less educated and trained than the men or whoever is making the full dollar. You honestly think that a mexican housewife who can't even speak english should make 80K a year cleaning hotel rooms, while the guy with a degree in engineering also makes 80K a year?

Feminism isn't about giving equal pays for unequal quantity of work. It's about creating a society where each men and women would be as likely to choose any career they want.

Fighting the patriarcal system is defying all the unwritten rules that are responsible for the wage gap, not demanding law that give more money to women.

You are mixing up feminism and american feminism. Since people in the states are retarded, they came up with idea like "the wage gap should be fought by law" as they did with affirmative action to fight against racism.

But elsewhere, where people aren't 100% retarded, feminism fight against the reason behind women's shitty career/choice of major.

Talking to indian.
She's taking about her cousins rent if a 3 bed 2 bath for like 2300/mth
She pays 100/mth for a better house
She gets a brand new vehicle every few years of not being a fuckup
And a job that I'm sure pays more than 5.90 an hour- or is it even less since she's a woman?
Besides this one example, in every job I have ever worked I've gotten paid the exact same per hour as everyone else despite work ethic or efficiency.
And I've worked with indians, whites, males, females, blacks, asians, mexicans, mixes so deep they get offended if you only mention 1, etc etc etc. All from vastly different social, economic and neighborhoods, yet all getting paid the same, under a female boss, who's under a female boss, both of whom are obviously making more than any of us-not do to being males or whites, but because of their responsibilities and time of working there.
Last but not least, praying for such a world where everyone gets paid the same is bullshit when you look around and see yourself working much harder or efficiently, for the same ammount as the nigger standing near the water tower for 1/3rd of the shift, or the person who can't balance their till for shit...

Women are free to choose any career they want, yet you have things like "women's studies" degrees that are worth nothing. While in actuality women who do go into high paying careers end up making more money than men in those same careers.

>>679030604
That's an argument made up by folks like you to try to discredit what Bernie is trying to do. We all know it isn't "free." These things will be paid by the taxes we will be paying. Overall, unless you're making over 250K a year, you're not going to notice your taxes go up by a huge amount. Even if my taxes were going to go up by 5 or even 10%, what I would get from it would be worth it. I'd happily pay that just to be able to get medical care when I need it.

5 years at that age is pretty big. I mean, that's not even considering that Sanders is pandering to the financially illiterate by making Wall Street a boogeyman just like how Trump uses Mexicans. So basically, I'm too informed on finance/economics to fall for his bullshit narrative, plus I don't want my income/payroll taxes to go over 50% to pay for shit for people I don't care about.

How the wage gap works:

>Society, women included, still wants men to be the main earner in a family. Thus it puts pressure on the 40+hr week and a preference for high paying jobs

>Women get away with leeching off their men/boyfriends. They can technically also become engineers and work till they drop but why bother. Just study some field that gives you good vibrations (usually shit tier social stuff) and work there like 20h or so because work life balance is important, right?

That said, it actually is a problem that our society values some jobs (e.g. healthcare) much less than others (e.g. fixing cars) and that the jobs valued less are usually jobs women work in, but that's not a gender paygap but a pay gap between fields. A male kindergardener also earns a shit wage.

In fact there are studies showing that when the amount of women working in a field increases, the average pay decreases (for everyone). Because they settle for less.

But we aren't adressing that but instead make it about some invisible patriarchy actually handing out less money to individual women. When what we need to do is value certain fields higher

Nope. Some labor is more valuable than others. Any faggot can do data entry. Fewer can code the program into which the data is entered. Fewer can create and execute the experiment that gathers that data.

The market makes sense. Trying to impose "equality" where none belongs is foolish.

So you agree that there is a problem in the distribution of work and money between gender ?

That society shouldn't put the burden of earning money on men and should provide to women more empowering role model to women so they can stop being dependant/leech of their men ?

You are a feminist like Simone de Beauvoir.

When she wrote Le Deuxieme Sexe ( the founding book of the modern feminist movement) the main focus of her work was to get women to be financially independant from their husband.

Go ahead and calculate how much more you will pay in taxes under Bernie Sanders, and how much less you will pay under Trump. It is an outright lie that only people above incomes of $250k will pay more. I'm guessing you don't even have a job though so it probably won't matter for you.

Hey maybe they are worth it for you. Keyword you. It's not worth it for everyone else who doesn't need/want to go to college. What about people that already paid for their education, will they be getting a full reimbursement? What about people that have shelled out thousands for their own healthcare, will you also reimburse them? I didn't think so. It is an asinine idea, and in reality there is plenty on the plate from Trump to make both education and healthcare far more fair, and affordable for every single American citizen, without raising the taxes of every single person. It's no one else's responsibility to pay for your way.

> ou say you're informed on finance and economics, yet you think he's going to tax you at 50%

Yeah, he will. First I have to pay not only income tax, but my employer also charges me for payroll tax (as do many others) so even if I didn't make as much I would still pay over 50% in taxes. Finally, much of my pay (particularly bonuses) is in stock options, so on any given year capital gains makes up a huge chunk of my income (his capital gains plan raise my bracket to well over 50% per https://cdn1.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/W1PhQXyP8Le2eKxFs1pWA-HFvMY=/cdn0.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/5925467/capital_gains2.jpg).

> Considering that your taxes aren't likely to even go up unless you're making over 250K year, and even then, the highest tax bracket is in the mid 40's, you seem to be pretty misinformed.

No, you're misinformed. The figure you are thinking of only includes "income tax" not payroll taxes, however, most people still lose payroll taxes from their income, so when you include that, many more people will end up being taxed over 50%. I know I would be (thank god he can't win). Pic related is what most people will experience under Sanders' tax plan, it isn't misleading like Sanders' figures because it doesn't just omit one of the taxes. Ignore the title, I don't feel like renaming it.

Credit rating was lowered by an agency a few years ago. The feds immediately sued them and opened criminal investigations related to regulatory matters.

No one else has had the balls to do it again. But if you really think the almost $20 trillion in US debt is going to be repaid, ever, you also probably believe in fairies. Doing so would require drastic cuts in spending and punitive levels of taxation for a generation or more, or wild inflation (that would itself wreck the economy).

That's what literally every poll says. But I know facts are scary to a lot of republicans, so they ignore them.

Fact is, Hillary beats Trump in a general election easily, and she'll probably win the nomination.

> Higher numbers of Clinton voters said they wouldn't vote for Obama in 08

Those voters weren't almost exclusive in the 18-26 age group. You know the group that is least likely to vote? That's why this election is fundamentally different.

> Not to mention the fact that many, many, people will be galvanized to vote for Hillary or Bernie just to stop Trump.

Not many. When Trump gets the nomination the AnybodybutTrump movement will die out. It's funded almost exclusively by Republican elites to get rid of Trump for a more party-friendly candidate. When it comes down to Trump versus Clinton almost all of these people will still prefer Trump. Not to mention that because Cruz and Trump are much closer than Sanders and Clinton, Trump will find it much easier to absorb Cruz voters than Clinton will for Sanders voters.

> Credit rating was lowered by an agency a few years ago.

Doesn't matter. The market still considers US Treasuries to be the 'risk free' asset on which all other risk is gauged.

> But if you really think the almost $20 trillion in US debt is going to be repaid, ever, you also probably believe in fairies

It's being repaid on a rolling basis, you have no idea how corporate/government debt works. It doesn't work like consumer credit, educate yourself.

> Doing so would require drastic cuts in spending and punitive levels of taxation for a generation or more, or wild inflation (that would itself wreck the economy).

For countries like Greece or Spain? Yes. Not for the US. The US is fundamentally different because it is considered to be the 'risk free' asset by the market. The US government could claim that it won't make it's next coupon payment and there would be a shock through the market, but people would still flock to US Treasuries (flight to quality investments). You have no idea what you're talking about.

Well, there is a problem with the fact that some choices are just arbitrarely "better" than others.

Because atm it all follows a purely economical logic that values profit over having a good life. Doesn't have to be that way though

About 51.2% of delegates backing candidates still in the race. You can't compare the Republican Primary and the Democratic Primary because the Republican Primary had 4-5 semi-serious contenders and around 2-3 serious contenders at any given time so it makes sense that the votes are more fragmented than the Democratic Primary.

The Poll you are trying to refer to has been proven to be misleading as it takes all jobs males work and all jobs females work then decides that men earn more.

Well here fucktard..a real poll would have looked at the same careers and then organized them into males and females.... But this would have shown in fact FEMALES ARE PAID 5% MORE THAN MEN in the same career.

But that would not help push your victimization bullshit.

Explain how there is more females going to college now compared to men?

If it were happening at a business then you could contact the DoL and sue. The problem is that it isn't happening. You can't compare any illegal act to this specific one because an illegal act that one does privately is easy to hide, but something like this would be next to impossible to hide.
>>
>>679042937
It would be easy to hide if you didn't know what the guy in the office next door was making.

Do you know the C.V.s and salaries of everyone at your workplace? I don't.

The only way you could sue is if you had that information. Most people don't have access to that information.
>>
>>679042604
Pay isn't determined by how hard you work, retard. Pay is determined by what value you add to a company. Working a little bit harder and being a natural salesman (as an example) often adds enough value to justify you being paid that much. Then again, if it doesn't you're quickly replaced, so part of that pay accounts for terrible job security.

> It would be easy to hide if you didn't know what the guy in the office next door was making.

If you work for a public company this kind of information (not specifics, but averages) is readily available. That's all you need to contact the DoL, then the DoL would subpoena the company and the specifics would come out, then you could establish a class action lawsuit. Seriously, learn literally anything about this.

As if that wasn't your point a couple posts ago:
"If you put the same lack of effort into those jobs that you do into the two you have, you should be able to manage that easily."

And I stand by my point that executives add less to a company than they reward themselves for. Sure, they "decide the strategy", but usually that's just cracking the whip

And if they fuck up (so their work actually harms the company, like most recently the CEO's of VW) they drain millions more as part of their pay-off

I'm not sure why you would defend that

I can leave you with this, these statistics come from a gigantic census poll that doesn't take all of the factors into account. Factor 1: There are more working men than women, therefore, this number will be higher. Factor 2: Women generally have lower paying jobs/work less hours. Factor 3: Race is only a variable due to population. There is plenty more but I think that might sum it up. I'm not saying I do or don't support Bernie, but these statistics are so convoluted.
