Overrated as fuck on the shock factor, the gore is minimal, the scene where he raped the dude's eye socket is stupid and the "new born porn" the shit that everybody seems to be freaked out over, isn't even on screen at all, it's implied. I swear most of the people recommending that movie haven't actually seen it.

The Descent is a one of the best made horror movies I've ever watched, and it had a sequel that was almost as good as the original
>>
I don't know, my parents never let me watch horror movies in their house, and I didn't move out until I was 31 when they both passed away within a month of eachother, so horror movies have always seemed a terrifying concept to me, I still haven't gotten the guts to watch one yet, and I'm 40 now.
>>

The expression on her face is scary because you can see she's either scared or angry, and you can see she has no empathy.

And nothing is more dangerous than a scared or angry non-human (such as animal or robot, pressuming robots can act scared or angry).

Lake Mungo

Martyrs (french version)
The Pact (low budget, but some effective scares)
Kill List
The Grudge 2 (yeah, whatever, I just watched it and was surprised at how decent it was)
Saw XVII
>>
>>678206069
>Martyrs (french version)
There's another version?
>>
>>678205368
Yeah. Creature feature is probably more accurate.

That scene where they have to amputate the arm though. Man, that's brutal.

Anyway, horror films are either complete shit or great, and most fans have probably seen most great horror films. Middle of the road horror films, by the by, fall into the shit category because there's nothing worse than a boring, mediocre movie.

>>678205863
Iunno man, it's a question of how "unfamiliar" Asian horror films actually are. Like I said, most fans tend to dig this stuff up in looking for good ones.

But maybe it's just me and I've seen most of these anyway. I could be wrong. Either way, it's always cool to throw out a list or two of great movies. Keep it coming.
