The first thing we have to note is how he likely was sitting.
First of all, the chair is toppled. This implies he was sitting.
It's more likely he was facing the desk. Habits die hard and even if you are going to kill yourself, there's a high probability he was facing the window.
That makes suicide unlikely because the gun is placed in his RIGHT hand and the blood stain is on the wall.
Then we have the slipper. If he was sitting and shot himself such as the toppled chair implies, why are the slippers placed like that? The one we can see is placed far away from his feet closer to his knees. That he would shoot himself and then kick away his slippers seems unlikely - unless he was walking around barefoot, but the rest of his room seems tidy and neat so it is unlikely he would have things scattered around randomly.
So what was the guy doing in his final moments? He was neither reading nor writing. His glasses are placed on his desk, so he couldn't have.
He is holding a cigarette though. The ashtray and pack implies he was usually smoking at that window. This could be discarded as the guy having a final smoke before he died. I mean, who wouldn't want something calming before taking their own life?
But WHY is the window closed? Even inhibited smokers, especially a guy as organized as this, would open the window. As we can see it is closed, and the hasp is on halfway which means a stressed or hasty person had closed it. The murderer, in his haste, closed it when he was cleaning up. Probably to avoid snooping.

the distance of the chair to the wall is too far for the blood to splatter like that if she had shot herself in the head from the chair. It looks more like she wasn't shot at all. and had her head hit off the wall behind her multiple times.
The chair is underneath the desk, which makes it look as though someone knocked it over and shoved it out of the way. Her body is not where the chair would originally have been, and like someone pointed out, it probably wouldn't have fallen over after shooting herself.
The note on the table doesn't give us enough information to determine if it's a suicide note or not, however from a look we can guess that it is not completed, or that she just didn't have much to say as her final words. The pen is still on it, as though she planned to continue to write the letter, Most suicides like this will have the person placing 2 hands on the gun, and she has a cigarette still lit in her other hand. The gun is also further away from her body than it would be if she were to just be shooting herself. Even if she fell over, her arm would have hit the table and left it closer to her. The distance between that desk and the wall, I would guess to be 2-3 feet, and her arm is outstretched to the point that the gun is touching the wall.
