That design is problematic. That's the problem with artists. They put aesthetics over function and never have a clear understanding of science, engineering, and physics.
So I'm assuming it's centrifugal force artificial gravity. Having flat surfaces causes a problem. An object on the flat surface would not experience an even gravitational pull downwards. In fact, the closer the object gets to the edge, the less downward force there is and the more force toward the center there is.
Not to mention that the spaceship would get wrecked, unless it somehow calculated to follow a circular pattern with the mothership to hover in one spot and not fly off into some shit.
Also what the fuck is the point in having some trees covered and some not?

I was very disappointed. I waited awhile to play it since I cant get games too often, and eventually got it off HumbleBundle. After about 2 hours of play, I was 3/4 done. Thats not speeding through, thats not after doing no side quests, it's just really easy and has a short storyline. Based on the demos, the battle system is absolutely terrible, the "missions" consist of "go to point A on map, mission complete, now go to point B on map". After 10 seconds of running he stops to take a breathe, does he smoke 100 cigs a day or something? The music was fucking irritating as fuck. The ridiculous OTT flashing graphics are akin to Marvel vs Capcom fighting games (which are fine; but not final fantasy), the characters are unlikeable, they've spent far too long making it so I bet it's broken up as fuck and lacks consistency throughout the game, the story doesn't appeal.
I just don't know why they don't stick to what they were good at, have a FF game in a similar vein to FF 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, but on bigger and on the new platforms, so better graphically.

Walking around outside looking at the scenary is very chill and lax, but when you get to the missions it gets super spooky. Very much enjoyed it.
