I first came here years ago 2008 I think. Tumblr was barely a thing, like it was just fandoms, the feminazidragonkinnongenderbinaryfluid bullshit hadnt come up yet. We shared mediums with reddit as well. You know? like, before we became warring factions. Le 9gag had just been invented come to think of it.
A friend of mine posted some oldschool memes. FBF or Philosoraptor or something, she pointed me towards know your meme, which then took me to encyclopedia dramatica, then here. I played by the rules and lurked moar. Then I got a job as a firefighter and stopped coming here as much because camp life. Sorta forgot about it. Then last year I hit an all time low. Lost my (different) job, my girlfriend, social anxiety and depression had manifested a new form of actual anxiety and I remembered my /b/ros. I'm doing super good now. Got a good job, hard work, but pay is good. My ex and I actually started banging again recently. Shits so cash right now.
Anyways I've now gotten back into collecting pictures. My folders are nice organized and looking rather respectable.
I love that here we can speak our minds, you know. Here we can be who we actually are. Tumblr has profiles, you have to create an image for yourself and you must adhere to it. Here though, if I want to, I can call you a faggot three times in a row. Or if I'm feeling extra salty and can call you faggot four times. You feel me? Also, every once in a while, late at niight, we'll get a good thread gpoing, everybody pours there souls out and we all have a good laugh, get some decent pictures, and maybe actually learn something. It's nice here.
