probably the shallowest sidequest content of all fallout games. Choices mean shit, dialogue is dumbed down to levels of stale bread, shallow character development with few exceptions, weak vault presence, the entire game felt like a placebo pill at the end. It was a half assed Bethesda game with an ending that will trigger Mass Effect 3 flashbacks. If you thought FO4 was great, then gaming has truly gone to shit. Shallow shit.

The shift from DS2 to 1 was actually super difficult.
I went from not parrying anything to parrying everything, avoiding rolling to the side on sweep attacks because they always end up moving you inwards as well as to the side and just general jank. It was worse with DeS though.

Got nearly 600 hours in it, Theres just so much shit to do and the replay value is pretty great, theres multiple choices for almost everything you do, even the main side quests. And the modding community is massive and awesome, Theres even entire maps for other fantasy worlds and fully voice animated unique questlines.

Yea, that applies to games like Doom and Pac Man, like you say. But some of the best narratives come from that era. Take the early 2000s, we had games like No One Lives Forever, games with great mechanics that we don't see today.

Not really. On my GTX670 FTW edition and my i7 920 with 6GB of RAM, I play on Ultra with medium shadows and grass and no Hairworks at 50ish fps constant. I also use a sweetFX preset on top of this with ENB so it probably looks better than vanilla Ultra.

I liked the game at the start, when you slowly wiggle into the world and meet the characters, but when i see the same repeating patterns and dominating radiant bullshit, all those characters that you meet and do or say nothing interesting, all the meaningless decisions, all my expectations are gone to shit.
