I guess I'd ask one of the guards something like.... How many fingers am I holding up behind my back? The truthful guard would have to say he has no idea, as he has no rationality to base his decision off and must tell the truth. On the other hand, the lying guard would take a guess because he always lies. If he said he had no idea, he'd be telling the truth, which he's not allowed to do. If the truthful guard guessed, he'd be not telling the truth and breaking his rule.
