So apparently I'm dangerously underweight according to my BMI. I'm 6'2" and weigh 122lbs, giving me a BMI of 15.6 (aged 25, male FYI)

I've always been skinny though (most I've ever weighed is about 61kg), and the last time I was this skinny I had a bood test which apparently suggested I was perfectly healthy.

How likely am I to drop dead at any moment from a heart attack?

I don't think I exercise much (apart from daily stretching, some non strenuous dancing and near constant fidgeting) I have bacon & eggs for breakfast most mornings, fruit and nuts throughout the day, a decent meat & veg dinner, and chocolate, cake or ice-cream most weeks. So I'm not really anorexic, but I guess I don't take in enough calories? I really like being super skinny though, and want to stay that way providing it isn't killing me... But surely my diet consists of way more than somebody who actually has an eating disorder... right?

Thoughts /b/? Am I dying? Or am I just one of those 'naturally skinny' people (if that actually exists)?

Other factors: I smoke weed everyday and have about 2 - 4 espressos.

I'm worried if I pick up exercise I'll lose even more weight - plus I've tried exercise for my mental health issues. It's great while I'm exercising but does nothing outside of that. I smoke weed because it instantly relaxes me and allows my mind to focus on things. Plus I'm pretty sure that's the only thing that gives me an appetite. Without weed I tend to unintentionally skip meals because my mind is erratically jumping around from one thought to the next.

I like being skinny because I like being androgynous/effeminate. Given that's a big part of who I am I'd like to maintain my current figure.

I'm not sure what to think though. Maybe I do have a shit doctor, but I've heard the BMI can be misleading, and given I've always been this skinny it's not like I've starved myself to this size.

It's gender issues, and that's part of what makes me depressed. I get along with my parents but they're emotionally distant and it wouldn't do much good to discuss it with them. It's not that they wouldn't accept it, but they'd inadvertently blame me and make it about themselves if I brought it up.

i didnt smoke for 2 weeks, woke up early and went to bed early, and i ate twice as much food as when i do when i'm high. tbh i kind of ignore my hunger when i'm high, because i am too lazy to make food.

but when i'm sober i don't mind going to the supermarket to buy some good food.

it's 10 AM, and if i wasn't high as fuck right now i'd be making food, because i am hungry, but it feels like i'm too nauseous too eat.

I do have an erratic sleeping pattern, but I don't notice any digestive problems unless I've had less than 5 hours (usually sleep 6 - 8)
I'm kind of the opposite with my eating habits. If I don't have weed, I usually have a coffee and just don't get around to breakfast. I'll just launch straight into my day, or into working on whatever project was keeping me up the night before.

If I have weed, I'll have a second coffee and make a decent breakfast

Well, your bmi isn't standard. Have you checked your metabolism? There's blood tests to check if you have hyperthyroidism. If you're ok after the tests, it is safe to assume that you just have a naturally skinny body, and you should be ok. Otherwise, there's treatments for that. I would recommend not doing anything unnecessary to your eating habits, and check everything else with a nutritionist. Some people just have different bodies, that's all.

Not for a few weeks because I've been getting leg cramps in the middle of the night, until that started I was getting a decent amount of sleep most nights though. I work in the evenings and study a few days a week. So I lose sleep during the week with some early starts, but Friday to Monday I sleep pretty well. That's one of the main reasons I smoke weed too. Without it I usually can't get to sleep, or I'll wake up a lot from weird dreams/nightmares.

My BMI is 17 and I'm 6' 125lbs and have been since high school.
Before high school I was only 65lbs but I'm perfectly healthy.

I've tried eating big, working out and every product on the market.
I use to eat 3 whole chickens a day and spent most of my time at the gym. I got really cut but didn't gain any weight.

Skinny life as a man is worst life.

At your BMI you will eventually get heartproblems and a literal fuckton of jointiasues, and most likely backpains from lacking stabilizing muscles.

Trust me, you nees to eat more and start working out. And don't start working out unless you're sure you're taking in excess calories or you will just lose more weight and wreck your body completely.

Remember that the body's top priority is to keep you alive, and it will tune down, or even shut off important bodily functions in order to ensure your survival.

I don't think I'll have back problems. I stretch and dance everyday, and have perfect posture. Did your doctor actually say you were fine? If so, who told you you were going to have heart problems? I'm hearing that a lot but I would have thought any of the doctors I've had over the years would have mentioned it.

Like I said, you might feel fine now, and the doctor probably say you're fine now, your problems will come in 10-15 years.

I'm getting extremely mixed messages (organ failure vs dw about it), and as I've stated I'd rather stay skinny, so obviously I want the answer to be that I'm fine and don't have to change my body. But I'm open to the idea that there are seriously health implications, I'm just not seeing any that sound definite for my situation.

For example, I really can't imagine my organs getting traumatized in any way. I don't take part in any sports and I tend to look after myself. I rarely drink, and if I do it's never more than one, so I wonder how my skinny person liver would compare to a regular sized person who drinks.

I've definitely heard enough to be asking a doctor these questions though.

It would be more than that some days if I smoke a lot of weed, binge on chocolate and sad movies, and less on some days when I don't have chocolate.
