its just terrible compared to how it was
it used to actually be a rewarding game. where if you worked hard you would have epic shit. now the game just hands out awards and gear to everyone.
that might sound kinda fun if you haven't played wow much before.. but like
i can only compare it to playing modded skyrim and giving yourself loads of badass shit. where all of the loot you get feels useless and the game is just not challenging at all anymore.

That's not necessarily the implication. From what I hear, now that you can buy time with gold, it's possible to pay for your sub through trading...personally, I just do online surveys for Amazon credit and buy 60 day time cards with that credit. No paying involved either way.

It depends on the server. Try Hellground, the only quests that didn't work are some of the "escort" quests and all lvl 70 instances are working pretty much 100%

I somewhat agree, but the easy-mode complaints you've made are only a part of the problem. The Dungeon/Raid finder, plus garrisons have totally killed the social aspect of the game. They're on the same track with this new expansion, extra professions, scaling zones, etc. There is no more reason to be nice, improve your skills at CC/strategy..or even be in a guild, other than the guild buffs they introduced as a way to counteract their destruction of the social aspect.

Again, that depends on the server. I played WoTLK a little bit and it really sucked that rogue (my fav pvp class) couldn't do shit against warriors and palas. I really recommend Hellground, good server, almost 0 bugs, and lots of pvp-ers

In the first scenario, you already have to have a sub, earn gold, and exchange it for time that another player bought...it was a reaction to the black market of buying/selling accounts and items for real money. So in a way, they've just legitimized a real money/virtual money exchange.
In the second, there are plenty of survey companies that award Amazon credit for completed surveys. Just do a search. It's 25-30 bucks for a 60 day wow card, purchasable on Amazon with that credit.

I really love the warcraft lore and playing TBC for like 6 years got me bored. I'm gonna sub soon, I tried that 20 lvls for free thing and it all feels really fresh. Even if I won't like the endgame I want to experience this new warcraft and see how much have changed

Thanks for that, I was mostly talking pve side, good to have a pvp perspective. A lot of people really liked the lore and questlines that they came up with for MOP and WOD, I guess I was just more focused on the elimination of any need for civility and society.

Not if their previews have been at all true. I like that they're going away from garrisons, but the class hall thing just seems like a watered-down version of it, a last second attempt to encourage player interaction. Also, the new and improved zone and group scaling just seems like a bad idea. I also am not a fan of the whole "heirloom weapon" concept, which despite customization will just put us further down the road of cookie-cutterness.

I usually spend a half hour to hour on a survey, get a 10 to 15 dollar credit. I'm sure this varies wildly dependent on the survey company, though. The one I use only gives a shit what I say because I'm listed as a manager/owner of a business through tripadvisor/yelp/etc. It might be a little more a time investment with others, or with Mechanical Turk.
