Half the people I work with are ex Army who saw the light and transferred. Being Air Force allows me to gain experience that I would have never gotten in Civilian life, they give me free qualifications that directly apply to civilian life.
In the Military you get dumped doing jobs that Civilians would demand 6-7 years experience with, allowing me to get that experience in the first place. Why would I want to get treated like shit for less pay in the process? The only Infantry I know who look down on the RAF here are fresh in and still buying the propaganda.

Joined the Special Forces Group 2 years ago, hard to combine with personal life but luckily don't have kids yet, only gf. good family and couple of good friends so it sucks a bit not being able to join a lot of the events. I should have 2 weeks of leave still but with current events in my Capital it is likely I'll be recalled.

No it was not. It's boring as hell. Did Somalia twice, Mediterranean once. In the 5 months away each trip, all together 1 week action. Army does more interesting things then the navy. But if you don't like to work hard, it's a good thing to join the navy. Submarines are hard work though.
Any advice, join the Marines instead of the army. You learn to be more flexible, think before you act, and you have more possibilities to specialize.

Polish Navy hehe we have some old submarines, 2 ex-american frigate, 1 corvette by 80', 3 fast attack crafts, some minesweepers and 4 minelayer-landing ships .
But I've been on Roll-off/on ships and we had some crewmen from our navy and they said that they were so stupid that didn't stay in navy.

probably, but everybody has to start somewhere. hell I started out waiting tables and looking for better jobs all the time. eventually ended up in manufacturing as a quality engineer making about $50k a year, though I could have been making 1.5-2x that in the twin cities if I'd wanted to deal with the hassle of living there or commuting. no it's not a lawyer salary, but it's not bad for a college dropout. I would probably still be doing it if I weren't disabled.
point is, you may not end up in exactly the career you want, but who does? you start wherever you're at and always be looking for opportunities to help your resume and get you into places you want to go. whether that's college, tech school, or just professional certifications.
if you do join the military, make sure you take advantage of the GI bill when you get out. major in something that you enjoy (preferably something you love, but at the very least something you like) that has some decent job prospects.

Served for Finland a year and currently serving in the German navy for a little longer. Although it tends to feel like a pointless career with little options I can't say I'm regretting it.
If in the USA make sure you as your DS for a pizza party. And eat the ice cream in reception, it will be your last chance to eat anything sweet for awhile. Until you as for the pizza party anyway.
