How can you call yourself a true gamer when you haven't successfully cleared a 100x100 board on minesweeper
Have you seen the self evolving neural network on utub..it teaches itself to play..
Only gets past level 1..
You can't call yourself a true gamer until you realize Super Mario Bros is overrated
>>675230071

>>675230071
>32 levels
>not using cheat engine to play the rest of the levels
>>675232183
It's not even real and yet I rage
What would you do to make SMB more accessible to a new generation of gamers?
>>675230071
>he doesn't know about the warp zones
>>675230071
Sonic The Hedgehog bosses are better than maro bosses suck it the same over and over and over and over.
Not knowing the password...
>>675230071
How can you call yourself a true gamer if you actually had to go through every level of Super Mario Bros. Noob.
>>675232782
>he doesn't get the point that OP was trying to make
>>675232790
First time was a nightmare.
>>675233208
true skill is in knowing the game, not how to quickly cheat and have zero skill.
>>675233336
This boss it still hard to this day.
Zork anyone?
>>675234120
I will try it.
old games are boring as fuck and a novelty at best. there's a reason games aren't like that anymore. because we have fucking advanced technology
>>675230473
$114.98 holy fuck!
>>675232754
>Old ass games
>More accessible
>New generation
What the fuck is the point?????????????
Hey everyone! let's fucking throw our electric lamps in the trash and use candlelight from now on because it is classic and more challenging which obviously makes it more fun!
>>675234582
Games cost a shitload more in Australia.
I'm more of a gamer than you. Plus I'm rich.
>>675234637
this is exactly what i'm saying
I've made it to the Yahar'gul Unseen Village in Bloodborne.
>I can call myself a true gamer.
>>675234582
the price of mw2 never went down, i believe its still the best selling game of all time
>>675232934
haha Leisure Suit Larry
>>675234430
Old games had to have puzzles, had to have secrets, and you had to dedicate quite a bit of time to truly learn everything about the game. There was a time where you had to wait five years for a sequel, where there just weren't as many games out, and they had to have content because they just didn't have the technology to wow you with graphics.
>>675234582
It's for the cost of the aviators
>>675235081
>where you had to wait five years for a sequel
that happens nowadays too though. and back then, some sequels did come out quickly. you have some other points, but this isn't one of them
Just for example
>SMB
1985
>SMB Lost Levels (Japan)
1986
>SMB 2
1988
>SMB 3
1988
>SMW
1990

Australian dollar is worth about half the American dollar right? so $114AUD would be ~$57, correct? Because I remember reading somewhere that the Australian minimum wage is something like $14AUD.
Never beat any Mega man X except for 1 and 8 without save states. Feels bad fam.
>>675230071
The lost levels is the true litmus test
>>675234637
>2016
not using color changing led lighting/bulbs
>>675235652
True, but outside of the Mario Series and a couple others, you really never got more than two games (if you even got that) in a series. Nowadays there's a new COD game out every year, and more and more games are getting sequels, or even three or four games in a series.
u fuks arnt a tru gamer if u aint killd seath on the fisrt tri in duckes archivs
>>675236079
Not to mention you only get half the game with the original purchase
>>675237050
Right. I love paying $60 for a game, then being forced to pay another $60 for an expansion or DLC if I want to play online. And let's not forget the whole "season pass" thing.
>>675235081
Here's a surprising fact.
New games, too, have puzzles, secrets and require time.
Crazy, right?
>>675237478
Aint nothing but a Milons Secret Castle thing ya know
>>675234120
You are lost in a maze of twisty little passages.
>>675237478
To an extent, but not as much as they used to. Mainly because they don't have to, what with graphics and online play being what they are today. There's also a lot more money riding on a game's success, and we've seen the gaming industry explode far beyond what it ever was in the 80's and early 90's.
>>675230071
Who the fuck hasn't beat SMB?
>>675237033
I legit was stuck there for a month or so because I kept doing the thing where you quit game at the death screen to reload at your bloodstain. Did not know you had to die there at all. Did not have internet.
>>675238428
I haven't, but that's just because I prefer SMB3 and SMW, and haven't gotten around to it.
>>675238682
But it has been game of the year over 11 years babyyy
>>675238682
I mean, SMB isn't nearly as fun as SMB3. But you still have to do it. It's like saying you never played The Legend of Zelda. You lose your Gamer Card if you haven't.
