To be perfectly honest, I once used to hate America. I used to focus on its flaws, and it certainly has flaws, like any other country.
But the fact of the matter is, I came to realize, that America represents a culture. A culture many countries in the western world represent, one of liberty and free speech. A capitalist world where one has more freedom than anywhere else to live his life as he wants to, it's far from perfect, but think about this: We are born in a culture where you can speak your mind, study whatever you like given the effort, where you can practise different kind of religions. A culture where private property exists, wealth, healthcare, education.
America is now, in my opinion, one of the few countries left that actively stands behind these values. Freedom to own guns sounds anachronistic in European society, where even policemen in my country don't get to carry a firearm. Freedom of speech, where in my country a famous right wing polician is on trial for speaking criticly about Islam. Freedom to defend yourself, where in my country you get fined or jailed for harming an intruder, whilst the intruder gets care, physical and mental care.
I've grown to hate my country, and hate the shift in values Europe stands for.
We are actively substituting our morals, values, beliefs, for inferior (yes I say inferior) ideology.
Anyway, all this America hatred stems from a subconscious knowledge that we as Europeans are becoming weak, vulnerable, politically correct cucks.
Go America, see you in a few years, as I intend to leave my country for permanent stay in yours.
