Celsius makes sense as far as science, but Fahrenheit is much easier to use with weather because the slightly smaller increments make each rise in degree not as drastic. Otherwise it's stupid. That's why any reasonably educated American uses metric. The main reason we haven't switched is that we'd need to replace and rework every street sign, companies would need to redesign labels, teachers everywhere would need to be retaught how to teach measurements, etc. and Eagleland doesn't wanna spend the money.
