I for one, would NOT want a High School drop-out whose prior knowledge of aircraft consisted of highlight reels from Top Gun, flying an aircraft that costs umpity-million dollars. I would think that's a little more mentally taxing than sitting behind some Hescos and waiting for artillery or air support when you actually get shot at. Depends on your age too though, maybe you're 18 or 19, and yeah you know it's something you need to do but you still have time and also things you want to do and experience being fresh out of school. Gents, you can join the Air Force with a GED, you just need a few college credits in conjunction with it. I enlisted five years ago with a GED and around 15-20 college credits (I forget how many you need minimum, it isn't much though.)

I never got a degree, tried college for 2 semesters, but the 2nd semester didn't go well, too stressful for me to not have money to do things I like, plus didn't have a quiet environment to study either. Since no money to spend, also no money to pay for extra classes, which extra classes require more time. So a so called 2 year degree for someone with parents who pay for everything and you study full time, would take me forever to complete. Smoking weed in the past held me back from some jobs, worked at warehouses and things like that, right now just looking for a good industry, gonna get a CDL sometime soon probably, it seems the way for me right now to get a decent yearly amount of money. If you can stick with college that would be good, of course government or medical jobs are always good ones to get though
