I had played the RB regular drums for so many years, and had mastered it and I guess was looking for more of a challenge. It took about two months before it clicked for me, and I even made it harder on myself because I switched the blue and the green cymbals so they were opposite positions. On a real drum kit, usually the ride (blue) is on the far right and the crash (green) is higher up behind the mid toms. So I had to remember that the cymbal colors were switched, but the tom colors were normal.

The Zelda series, in the beginning, was a breakthrough for the RPG and adventure genre in games. Some of the earlier titles like LttP and OoT are still great games to this day. The series begins to get stale, and you get shit like TP and SS, which are fairly garbage. But it's what the series started out as that a lot of fanboys cling to, and in their defense, the early games are great.
It's the same thing for the games you listed, Halo and CoD. Halo 1, 2, and arguably 3 are pretty great, and then the series got stale. Early CoD games were great, as well as MW1 which revolutionized the new age FPS genre. ....And then the series gets stale, same as before.
So it's less about "all games in this series are great" and more "we recognize the great games that came from this series" and leave it at that.

I'd argue TP is not a good game because the level design is uninspired, the gameplay mechanics are tedious (like collecting the Tears over and over), and the overworld is gigantic and not filled with anything interesting other than corridors that just lead to the next area. It lacks the feeling of Hyrule Field from OoT or Termina Field from MM.
It is miles above SS for sure, but for a 3D Zelda I would not say it was a good game.

OP here. Look at the topic of this thread. "All-time favorite games." That list is my all-time favorites. A lot of them are classics, and a lot of them are really great games.
RE4 changed up the style of RE games, and did it well. The Zelda games I listed are classics that many consider to be the best in the series. Halo 3 had some of the best multiplayer in the series, and I spent way too many hours with friends in Forge or doing 4 player co-op. Fable 1 was a fantastic RPG for the original Xbox.
