Started with a worming that my family went through due to my mother having Ulcerative Colitis. That revealed the Crohn's, but it took a year or two to develop. For a year after discovery it was thought to be UC but then I was missing entire weeks of school because the tecahers noticed my skin was grey and I was basically hunched over in pain all class. Properly diagnosed in August 2007 after being admitted to emergency and spent 9 days in hospital to recover. Full bowel rest was required.
